Order the world-famous xiao long bao, and skip the gimmicky giant soup dumpling served with a straw—its thick, gummy dough is pure style over substance. Service is brisk and no-frills: tick boxes on a paper menu, hand it to the cashier, and your food arrives fast. Seating is either on Via Paolo Sarpi’s busy main drag beside the steaming open kitchen, or upstairs in an air-conditioned dining room that absorbs the steady crowds.
