"France doesn’t have brunch culture—lunch and dinner are the bigger meals, while breakfast is typically a small affair, with a buttered tartine all most people can stomach in the morning. When “brunch” does exist, it’s in the form of a multi-course set menu, usually far too expensive. Yes, we’ve told them that’s not brunch. No, they don’t listen to us. Thankfully, Le Desjeuneur is one of the few places in Lyon where you can gobble up breakfast and brunch favorites like truffle croque monsieur, banana pancakes, and avocado brioche toast.
