"Even if you’ve never eaten at Nick’s Food To Go, you’ve likely seen the building. The shoebox-sized takeout spot sits just down the street from Oakland Cemetery and stands out thanks to colorful graffiti and murals marking its exterior. And if you like gyros, then you should get very well acquitted with Nick's and their murals. Nick’s has been around since 1994, and over the decades, the Greek-leaning menu has changed a lot (we still remember the lasagna days). The one constant has been the gyros. Peeling back the foil on your gyro order brings the same level of excitement as finding a free parking spot at the Midtown Trader Joe’s. Inside there's a fluffy pita filled with long, thin strips of lamb, plus crispy lettuce, tomatoes, and a generous portion of tzatziki. There’s nothing too fancy or unexpected—it’s really just an extremely satisfying gyro." - Juli Horsford
