Porgy’s Seafood Market - Review - Mid-City - New Orleans - The Infatuation

"Porgy’s carries a lot of New Orleans seafood history. The Mid-City building has housed three other seafood restaurants since the early 1990s: Caballero’s, Kjean’s, and Bevi. Porgy’s kept the best aspects of those—display cases, fried and boiled seafood, and daiquiris—while bringing a ton of new stuff to the mix, like muffulettas made with seafood and aioli instead of meat and cheese. Everything here is so fresh and bright, which makes it perfect for a quick lunch. They’ve also got a particularly good Happy Hour with $6 seasonal daiquiris and raw oysters starting at $1.25." - Megan Braden-Perry
