Brooklands By Claude Bosi - Review - Belgravia - London - The Infatuation
"Imagine a themed Disneyland restaurant, but make it Concorde. The decor at Brooklands by Claude Bosi, a French fine dining restaurant on the roof of The Peninsula hotel, pays credit to the storied racetrack and airfield that the famous plane was built on, but we’re in the business of meals. And one at Brooklands is fiddly, finickity, with occasional wallops of flavour. But when Brooklands hits—like with its superb bread or a chicken liver mousse and a coronation emulsion nibble—it’s great. Enjoying this from a heated terrace that looks out across London isn’t bad either. This is about as classic a fine dining restaurant that you can imagine—but its vaguely teenage racing and aeroplane homage lightens the stiffness. And an express ‘Concorde lunch’ at under £60 makes it a reasonable location for a fancy meal with a view." - Jake Missing
