"Costco sells rotisserie chicken for cheap, but the superior roasted birds at The Chicken Shop are a much better investment. This casual counter-service spot is the go-to lunch destination for locals in Lululemon looking for a protein boost after pilates. But aside from the healthy-ish appeal, their chicken bowls are filling, taste delicious, and look like floral arrangements. The Newport Bowl has big beet chunks that dye everything pink, while The Bowl Bowl has quinoa, sweet potatoes, and corn. All entrees come with white or dark meat (we always choose dark), and they also make great wraps, too. Maybe just don’t tell your fitness instructor they come stuffed with fries." - Cathy Park
