"Ant House is one of the more recent additions to Hoxton’s pho mile. If there’s one thing this part of Hackney can teach you, aside from that tight feeling in your chest being attributed to the area known as Shoreditch, it’s that there can simply never be too many Vietnamese restaurants. Happily, Ant House is a great spot for bánh mì—which there isn’t a tonne of around here—and their classic is filled with not one, not two, not three, not four, but five varieties of pork (char siu, mortadella sausage, pork belly, ham hock, and pork floss) as well as paté and a handful of coriander. Elsewhere on the menu there’s freshly made bun cha, melt in your mouth com ca tim nuong nam (aubergine and tofu) and lots more. A relaxed Vietnamese restaurant that suits solo diners, groups, anyone, and everyone? Always an excellent addition." - Jake Missing

The Hound

Pub · Chiswick

"Built within the walls of a Victorian police station, The Hound stands as a new drinking and dining destination for West London. With a storied past serving the local community since 1872, this modern-day coaching inn is now the perfect stop for a pint, a meal, or a bed for the night. From a former hub of punishment and retribution emerges a place to be social and connected, where the door is always open, and tales of bygone years fill the room.
