"We had been sneaking over toSami & Susufor lunchtime pitas for a while now, so we’re pretty excited to check out Shifka, their shop in Noho. Your choice of one of their six mains, including cauliflower shawarma, schnitzel, and lamb kabab, is stuffed into a pita from Angel Bakery in New Jersey, along with pickles, salad, tahini, and a shifka, their namesake pickled pepper. Or you can get them on a bowl with rice and freekeh. They have some other dips and smaller items as well to eat in a small, bright space with some seating." - Will Hartman
