"We’re beginning to think there’s a secret Southern Hemisphere conspiracy to take over Los Angeles. Which we’d be fine with, because Australians know how to make breakfast (just don’t refer to it as brunch in front of them). Point Five is another case in point - a little cafe on Melrose, with a handful of tables and great things to eat in the morning. The eggs benedict comes with prosciutto and whipped hollandaise (which seems about the same as regular hollandaise), and the uovo sandwich is an excellent combination of bread, eggs, and truffle aioli. The space is quiet, even when most of the tables are filled with Australians looking for something familiar, making it an ideal spot for a low-key meal or coffee." - Jess Basser Sanders
