"The Richmond is a prix fixe spot in, you guessed it, the Richmond. It’s the neighborhood’s best place for a tasting menu under $100—the five-course meal is $79 a person. The menu changes seasonally, but expect well-executed and satisfying dishes, like roasted steak alongside a chunky hash or a beet salad with cardamom carrots tender enough you could slice them with a plastic spoon. The American restaurant feels tailor-made for more intimate gatherings—some of the two-tops are even fully enclosed by curtains for privacy—or for a nicer-than-usual dinner that doesn't require planning a reservation more than a couple of days in advance. Food Rundown Tasting Menu Your only option. $79 gets you five great courses, plus warm bread rolls and butter—you’ll leave full. What goes on the menu changes depending on seasonality and whatever’s headlining at the farmers market. During a recent visit, we ate carrots in three different forms and peak-flavor sunchokes." - Julia Chen
