"New owners have taken over the former Good Day Donuts, with an equally sunny name that delivers on its promise. All the desserts at the small counter spot are simple but satisfying. We’re talking flaky maple bars, croffles with delicate strawberry frosting, excellent mochi, and old-fashioneds begging for a little coffee dip. There are lots of vegan varieties, too, which have such an airy texture that it’s hard to tell them apart from the udder-based options. Just pick out a mixed dozen at random and leave happy. The few breakfast sandwiches and burritos on the menu aren’t quite as successful, but stick with the sugary stuff and you can’t go wrong." - Gabe Guarente
