"A Peckham listening bar housed in former public toilets kind of sounds like the final frontier of a Nardwuar interview that’s gotten seriously out of hand. But Hausu is actually kind of brilliant. The vintage hi-fi soundtrack is very Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show, the wines by the glass all hover around the £9 mark, and the inventive globetrotting small plates result in things like scallop and prawn toast. Also, it turns out that with the trusty help of candles and warm little globe lights, public toilets scrub up great." - heidi lauth beasley
