Floozie Cookies - Review - Covent Garden - London - The Infatuation

"Does London really need a hot pink, sprinkle-smothered, raspberry jam-stuffed cookie? No, we probably don’t. But this city probably didn’t need cockapoos either and we’ve been known to follow them around a WeWork like we’re moonlighting as The Supervet. Floozie—a very pastel, vegan cookie shop in the middle of Covent Garden Market—isn’t a place for practicality. It’s about mainlining chocolate chips and finding out what would have happened if you had access to disposable income as a child. There are sprinkles, there’s fudge, there are peanut butter and jam fillings. And all of the gooey-centre cookies are impressively creamy for plant-based bakes, and one-and-done rich. For those who like their sugar fix while stationary, there are a couple of tables inside and pink stools outdoors on sunny days. The sweetness levels are off the chart but the homemade raspberry jam at its centre is up there with the stuff we panic-buy from Fortnum & Mason when we’ve forgotten a relative’s birthday. Very rich, very sweet, very likely to be half-eaten and then rediscovered in your bag six hours later when you’re ready to enter Sugarville once more.
