Codex - Review - Downtown - Norfolk - The Infatuation

"Codex is the kind of cool, scene-y restaurant that could easily be all style over substance: chic ceramics on the tables, an impeccably designed menu that boasts “House ‘Gronis” and a selection of self-described “upscale modern American” food but also, yes, a burger. Luckily, the food, drinks, and service stand up to the branding. It’s a farm-to-table restaurant that has fun with produce, like crispy brussels with nước chấm and crushed peanuts, but it’s also a safe space for those just dipping their toes into dining outside of the suburbs. For a big night out downtown, this is the move. Save room for some sticky toffee pudding." - Alicia Camden
