"We love Chaa Roen Pohn in Parkside for its hard-to-find Lao dishes. Whether it’s pla nil tod tilapia that’s so crispy it triggers a noise complaint from three blocks away, or the crackly nam kao tod with sour pork sausage, everything under the Lao section of the menu at this Lao-Thai walk-in-only spot is incredible. Don’t be deterred if this place looks full—they’ve got a hidden room in the back with plenty of seating. Now if only they could change the fluorescent lighting so it doesn't feel like you’re dining at the doctor's office." - Ricky Rodriguez
