"Rockman Coffee + Bakeshop is the kind of trendy bakery you’d expect to find in a big coastal city with (more) expensive rent, where people happily line up for the opportunity to see how flaky a croissant can get. Inside, it’s bright and charming, with a giant glass case showing off the day’s offerings—usually a few sweet and savory pastries, sourdough chocolate chip cookies, kouign-amann with crisp and buttery edges, and rip-and-dip bagels you'll want to turn into a weekly habit. There’s sometimes a short line at this East Austin spot, but it moves fast. It’s worth the wait to see what fresh treasures are sitting behind the glass.
