"In most cities, a ballroom-sized dining room with pineapple chandeliers, pink alligator wallpaper, and fringed bar stools would be a local eyesore. In Palm Springs, Bar Issi fits right in. Located in the Thompson Hotel on Palm Canyon, this over-the-top Italian restaurant will remind everyone—even locals—that while in PS, we’re all on vacation. Expect bright pink hibiscus cosmos and puffy Neapolitan pizzas decorated with vegetables straight from the farmers' market. The al dente pastas, including a standout radiatori in a sweet lamb bolognese, are some of the best in the Valley.
