"If All Time decided to pursue a fine arts degree and move somewhere with room to raise a few chickens, the result would be something like Bernee, a refined dinner spot in Altadena that feels like a settled-down version of its youthful sibling in Los Feliz. Walking in, your eyes are immediately drawn to the massive wood-fired hearth behind the bar, and just about everything on the menu passing over its glowing embers: blistered seasonal vegetables, large plates like crisp-skin seabass over herby green sauce, and a standout roasted pork belly with heirloom beans smothered in garlicky “butcher’s block” salsa.
