Nothing Really Matters - Review - Times Square - New York - The Infatuation

"When you go down the stairs at the downtown 1 subway station at 50th Street, you’ll see a section of blacked-out windows to your right. The space looks like it’s in need of a new tenant, but the bar inside, Nothing Really Matters, is very much open. Despite its nihilistic name, you'll have a good time at this speakeasy-ish spot. It consists of one big room with a long wooden bar and a semi-private nook, and, with its exposed pipes and metal grates hanging from the ceiling, you can tell this place is really leaning into the subway theme. Expect plenty of '90s hip hop and R&B like “Feel Me Flow” and “No Diggity” when you stop by. Nothing Really Matters feels more like a downtown bar than a Midtown watering hole, so it’s a great alternative to all the pubs and hotel lounges in the area. All the cocktails cost $18, and there are also several low ABV and mocktail options. Be sure to check out the bathroom for your daily affirmation (see photo above). This sign should be mandated by the city to be in every bathroom right next to the “Employees Must Wash Hands” sign." - Kenny Yang
