Broken Eggs Review - Fitzrovia - London - The Infatuation

"Slicing into the gooey, oozing slice of jamón tortilla at Broken Eggs, a Spanish spot in Fitzrovia, is the chichest we’ve ever felt eating eggs. The restaurant is like a Kinfolk shoot come to life. Walls have deliberately unfinished plaster brushstrokes and are the colour of sun-bleached straw. Net baskets dangle from wooden hooks with the carefully orchestrated un-doneness of an interior design store. Come during the day for excellent tortillas filled with smoky meat, grilled courgettes, and soft, buttery potatoes. In the evenings, large groups file in and sit on intentionally mismatched wooden chairs. The volume increases in line with bottles of sangria hitting tables. When it comes to ordering, the salads feel like a bit of an afterthought so keep it simple with tortillas and burnt basque cheesecake instead. " - Sinéad Cranna
