"With 17 locations splashed across the state of Georgia, Baldinos is a homegrown Jersey-style sub chain. Their Buford Highway location in Doraville is the closest to Atlanta, and even ITP snobs would go to OTP for their 13-inch subs. They have hot subs like cheesesteaks, but you’re here for the Jersey touch, so order their cold subs like the American special with layer upon layer of turkey, ham, and roast beef. The meat is sliced right in front of you at the order counter. And while the ambiance isn’t really why we’re here, we still dig the casual vibes and hometown feel of the place—photos of Baldino-sponsored sports teams, trophies, and pennants on the walls offer a sense of small-town community in the big Atlanta metro." - Juli Horsford
