"After a long and dark four-year closure, The Stud has laid down new roots in SoMa. Open since 1966, The Stud is one of San Francisco’s oldest queer bars, so naturally, it has a big reputation to uphold. And we’re happy to report it’s just as fun as it used to be.  A night here is still full of go-go dancers, twerk contests, and a whole lot of love. This new Folsom St. location (just a few blocks from the old spot), retains a lot of its previous charm with some of the original signage, floating clouds, and the strong well drinks it was known for. Now, The Stud also has a patio and a lot more space. Open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, make sure to check their website to find the best dance parties, drag shows, and community-specific Happy Hours around." - julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez, patrick wong, lani conway
