Bandit - Review - Dogpatch - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Most places in the city serving breakfast sandwiches tap out after one or two options. Bandit in the Dogpatch (with another location near Dolores Park), on the other hand, has an entire roster. Their eight versions cover various combinations of scrambled eggs, meats, and the occasional smashed tater tot or vegetable thrown in. The one constant is the velvety eggs that could almost slip out of the buns if squeezed hard enough. We keep coming back to The Brekkie, with a juicy sausage patty that soaks up a spicy and sweet jalapeño relish, and golden tater tots that make every bite crunchy. (The Slinger breakfast burrito is a close relative, though it's drier and less balanced.) Bandit is certainly worth a visit for breakfast, but it’s not a place to linger—the inside feels a bit cramped, with just enough room for about a dozen people. We much prefer to take our orders to the picnic tables at Crane Cove for a bit more stretching-out room and a view of the bay. (And to use the bathroom, since there's not one inside the restaurant.) photo credit: Patrick Wong photo credit: Patrick Wong" - Patrick Wong
