"This is the more affordable fast-food version of Shisen Hanten, managed by the same chef. The famous namesake dish is reincarnated as mapo don, literally mapo tofu on a bowl of Japanese rice. It’s more numbing than spicy, with silky tofu and ground pork. Dan dan mien is another favourite, with the choice between soup and dressed noodles.
