"Built in 1873, I found this lovely, warm spot in Central—the heart of everything in Auckland—that began life as a "pub hotel," so there’s still a tavern downstairs with a working fireplace and a billiards table. While it’s not open for breakfast, the restaurant serves tasty pub food in the evenings.
