The 12 Best Things to Do in Natchez, Mississippi in 2025

"I found Longwood one of the most interesting homes in Natchez: its stunning grounds and a huge onion-shaped dome make it entirely unique as the largest octagonal house in the United States. Construction began in 1859 but the owner died before most of it was completed, leaving the entire upper floor unfinished after the Civil War halted work, so only a handful of rooms are finished today. It's a very popular site with tours (open daily 9am–3pm with tours every 30 minutes); be sure to wander the beautiful grounds. Admission is $25 USD." - Matthew Kepnes
