Visiting Kuta Beach: Why This is The WORST Place in Bali!
"Getting to Kuta is straightforward: Denpasar International Airport (DPS) is about 15 minutes away by taxi. The standard prepaid airport taxi fare is 50,000 IDR, though if you walk away from the airport you can often find non-airport metered taxis that will do the trip for about 20,000 IDR (only a savings of roughly $1.75 USD, so the prepaid taxi is often worth the convenience). There is also a bus from outside the airport for around 4,000 IDR, but it takes much longer and is less convenient. From Ubud you can take a bus to Kuta for about 80,000 IDR each way, with several departures daily and a journey time around an hour (the distance is only ~35 km but traffic can be bad and roads sometimes flood during the rainy season)." - Matthew Kepnes
