"Still one of my all-time favorite hostels, the Flying Pig has an atmosphere I love even if the facilities are standard and a bit pricey: the staff hang out with guests, know the city, and are always helpful; the beds and pillows are some of the comfiest I’ve ever slept on, the showers are good, and there are charging points by each bed. It’s popular with travelers who like to chill and smoke, but the bar area gets busy at night with people who don’t want to get high; there are three Amsterdam locations (uptown, downtown, and a new beach spot) and I prefer the smaller uptown location because it’s easier to meet people." - Matthew Kepnes
