On the Grid : Eames Foundation

"The Eames Foundation is the organization established specifically to maintain and preserve Case Study House #8, also known as the Eames House. Located on 3 acres of Eucalyptus-lined hillside, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the Eames House is one of the most important examples of American mid-century modern architecture. It was also the home and studio of husband-and-wife design team Charles and Ray Eames where they lived up until their deaths. It is more or less preserved exactly as it was left, down to the books on the bookshelf. You can enjoy the grounds for $10 (free for students), and to access the house, you park just around the corner on Corona Del Mar. Reservations required." - No Style Studio
