On the Grid : Seattle Public Library

"You can get books at any of Seattle’s 30-or-so neighborhood branches, but the Central Library is a must-see for first-time Seattle visitors, literate or not. For locals, it is also a serene and quiet place to get work done Downtown. The Central Library made the list, however, because of its insane architecture and design. There are so many colorful floors to explore and glass for days… ceilings, walls, and floors letting in tons of natural light. The meeting room level is our favorite, but the entire building is a Seattle landmark." - Parker
