Established back in 1809, this historic Milanese gallery is home to artworks by Antonio Canova, Caravaggio and Raphael, and has long displayed the modern art that inspired the creation of the Brera Modern as a dedicated new home for those works. With the new openings, it will no longer function as just one standalone art gallery but will be rebranded as part of the Grande Brera multi-site arts complex, marking its evolution from a single institution into the core of a larger cultural hub. - Liv Kelly
