Hosting a unique exhibition of Picasso’s Vollard Suite after more than 10 years out of public view, this museum is presenting one of the world’s most exclusive collections of the artist’s work for free. From February 13 to July 20, visitors can see all 100 etchings from this landmark series of modern printmaking, laid out in sections that trace Picasso’s progression through obsessions like The Sculptor’s Studio, The Battle of Love, The Minotaur, and Portraits of Ambroise Vollard. It isn’t just about Picasso, either: the show also includes a curated selection of prints by major Spanish artists from the latter half of the 20th century, including Juan Genovés, Eduardo Arroyo, Manolo Valdés, Miguel Ángel Campano, and Darío Villalba, making it a pretty mega, must-see stop for anyone in Madrid interested in powerful, print-based art. - María Toro
