"It’s hard to believe that the Francis House, a château-style Napa Valley gem, sat abandoned for half a century. Once a prominent merchant's house and later a hospital — some of Calistoga’s living residents were born here — the place was boarded up and graffiti-covered until the current owners discovered the property and transformed it into an elegant boutique hotel in 2018.
