"It’s hard to believe that the Francis House, a château-style Napa Valley gem, sat abandoned for half a century. Once a prominent merchant's house and later a hospital — some of Calistoga’s living residents were born here — the place was boarded up and graffiti-covered until the current owners discovered the property and transformed it into an elegant boutique hotel in 2018. All of the building’s interior was unsalvageable, but its original stone walls were beautifully restored making it a stand out feature of the hotel." - Tablet Hotels
