"I escaped to The Peninsula New York for the Life Lived Best wellness program, arriving after a quick cab down Fifth Avenue and settling into a room with views down the avenue. I streamed Breethe meditations on the in-room TV before attending an in-person meditation in the hotel's yoga studio led by Breethe cofounder Lynne Goldberg. I sampled the program’s plant-based room-service menu—crudités and hummus garnished and plated to look like a garden—and at turndown staff delivered Subtle Energies bath and aromatherapy products, including an oil perfumed with jasmine and rose for a calming before-bed ritual; wearing a sleep patch, I fell into an undisturbed slumber. The program is presented as highly personalized, reflecting general manager Rolf Buehlmann’s comment that “true luxury is about choices.”" - Lisa Greissinger
