Boxwood, a National Historic Landmark, is one of the earliest horse farms in Middleburg, Virginia, a region of American colonial and Civil War history. Originally settled in the eighteenth century, the farm became a well-known horse farm, the home of General Billy Mitchell, a pioneer of military aviation, and now the site of Rita and John Kent Cooke's Boxwood Winery. Cooke and his team at Boxwood are committed to making premium red wines in the Bordeaux tradition with their own unique Virginia expression. Production is limited to 2,500 cases.

Crimson Lane Vineyards was built to be both a destination and a home—a place to gather with friends and family around our table, sharing wine and swapping stories, just as you would around your own. Here, the experience is elevated, but the attitude is relaxed. We raise and sell chicken, eggs, turkey, pork, and beef. All on fresh pasture, non-GMO feed, no antibiotics, no chemicals on the land, no chemical wormers, and our beef is Wagyu and 100% grassfed! We also offer other excellently raised and locally produced food and products from our friends!
