"Pierre Touitou – one of the emblematic chefs of the new Parisian bistronomy – has already made his mark on the trendiest echelons of the capital's restaurant scene (Vivant etc). Black and white floor tiles pave the way to an open kitchen separated off with a stainless steel-topped counter – eat here for a front row view of the action in the kitchen. The chef and his brigade can be seen conjuring up food in a fresh, creative vein. The seasonings and condiments leave nothing to chance – eg the house-made harissa on the ox tongue and spinachpkaila(Jewish Tunisian stew), or the fresh peas with capers, toasted pine nuts and barberry that accompany the bonito. As you would expect, natural wines take pride of place. Pure dining pleasure." - Michelin Inspector

The 15 Best New Restaurants in Paris | Eater

"In the years since Pierre Touitou left his perch at Vivant Deux and Déviant, diners wondered when he’d return with a solo project. It would take a few years and a stint at Luma Arles, but the chef is back with this slick neo-bistro tucked between the Tuileries Gardens and the Palais Royal. Touitou and his team prepare an ever-changing roster of dishes from an open kitchen, concentrating on only a few ingredients or condiments at once. The lo bak go, a Chinese turnip cake served like panisse, is a hit among the starters, ideally followed by the braised beef shoulder served with a side of pkaila (stewed spinach) blended with beef tongue. Get the Clery strawberries topped with turmeric ice cream and crunchy honeycomb for dessert. Located in the 1st arrondissement." - Lindsey Tramuta

We booked our table a few days before arriving in Paris, and the day before our reservation, the restaurant called to ask if we’d be happy sitting in their private dining area—slightly secluded from the main room and away from the kitchen. We said yes, and it turned out to be a great decision. The space offered a sense of privacy, which made it easy to talk and catch up with everyone. Despite being tucked away, the staff didn’t forget about us. They were attentive throughout the evening, which made the experience even better. The sommelier helped us choose bottles of natural wine that paired beautifully with our dishes. They also took time to explain the menu and set expectations clearly. The food was delicious, and the whole evening was a very pleasant experience. Thank you!

We had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant 19 Saint Roch, and it was an outstanding experience. Chef Pierre Toutou truly shines here, offering a menu that blends creativity with exceptional technique. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and inviting, with a refined yet relaxed vibe. Each dish was beautifully executed, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures that made every bite a delight. The service was impeccable—attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, ensuring we felt taken care of throughout the meal. From the starters to the dessert, everything was perfectly crafted, and the wine pairings complemented the dishes beautifully. It’s a place that manages to deliver both in terms of fine dining and genuine hospitality. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a memorable meal in Paris!

Incredible experience! Outstanding, modern European food with a French touch. Sizeable portions with delicate but bold flavors. Extremely friendly and foremost professional staff. Got a well-paired and exciting wine suggestion.

This restaurant is definitely one of the highlights of my stay in Paris. The food was absolutely sublime. The fried turnip cakes were really memorable, like a panisse but better. The turbot was exceptional. The place has a nice atmosphere and isn’t pretentious. If I am pushed to balance the positivity of the review with constructive criticism, I wasn’t a big fan of the chili crème anglaise, I would have preferred a traditional one. It was recommended on Condé Nast as new restaurants to try.

What a lovely Parisian restaurant! Had the pleasure of dining my first night of my trip. This was definitely a culinary highlight! Service was attentive, well paced and personable. Thoroughly enjoyed the red tuna entree which was beautifully presented and very flavorful.

Loved our dinner at 19 Saint Roch. Very good food, extremely friendly staff (the chef came over with one of our dishes at a point, which made us feel even more welcomed), in a well-designed space. Highly recommended.

Service and wine were great. Found the food lacking -- flavors and textures felt disjointed. Ordered the red tuna, which was cooked unevenly and did not have much flavor. The vegetables were lightly cooked, a half fennel was just sitting there not properly cored and very tough to eat. The duck was tough as well. The oyster starter was good. We were too tired to provide feedback.

To start off, get the Floating Island for dessert. Worth a visit for that alone. They also did this fried radish dish called Lo Bak Go that was fantastic. The rest of the dinner was equally good, but those two dishes stood out. The service was impeccable, we never had to ask for more water or our wine glass to be filled, the staff just seemed to know. Everyone was friendly and attentive.
