Definitely 5 stars!!. Had the chance to try this gem in Astoria and didn’t disappoint us in any way. The food was amazing, I personally love Latin sushi and this place knows how to do it, delicious and generous pieces, drinks were algo good. If you’re looking for Latin food or an actual good sushi, you should check it out. The happy hour has the best prices

Natalia truly knows her stuff and consistently checks in to see if I need anything—top-notch customer service. This is my go-to spot, and I always recommend it to others for great food, drinks, and a perfect place to catch the game. Jeff same thing on his end. Highly recommend

I think I’ve left Iike 5 reviews for this place! The owner had a vision and that vision blew up! This place has such great vibes, music, the food is outstanding! Staff all around was nice, nobody gives stank attitudes; whoever runs this place definitely has good leadership and managerial skills! Can’t wait to go back with the girls!!

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at Bad Habits this past weekend . If you're thinking of going to Bad Habits, please go. The brunch was delicious. I had the chicken and waffles. The DJ was everything. He definitely had us dancing. He played everything. reggae, soca, Latin, pop, rnb. Stephanie was my waitress she was attentive and pleasant. Drinks were good. We did bottomless brunch, and margaritas were included! Metered street parking available. Space is small but well decorated . There is a 90 min time limit for brunch. However, it wasn't crowded, so we were able to stay at our table and party. After we ate, they brought out fried ice cream and chocolate lava cake for my birthday, which was delicious. My only suggestion would be for brunch to be prefix. Great place. I'll definitely be returning.

The service is great— the manager Wendel and staff are so friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely seem like they enjoy being there. Went to Bad Habits on Thursday night, heard they have a good vibe on Thursdays. I gotta say, good vibe is an understatement!!! The food was good, music good & the bartender Mama Sota aka Zuli was amazing! Super funny, great service, a mean mango margarita & just a great person. For a restaurant lounge good food & good atmosphere is a must, but great staff is what keeps people coming back & you guys got that with her. Definitely coming back on a Thursday!

This is Still my favorite happy hour spot in Astoria hands down! This place has it all; the food, the drinks, the atmosphere and the staff is so friendly. We came here to celebrate my birthday last month on Thirsty Thursday. Not only do they have $8 happy hour drinks but also an $8 happy hour appetizer menu. Bad Habits is the definition of tackiness, ratchetness, wannabes, poor health choices, and loudly obnoxious behavior. I don't know from where come the people who come to this place, but I can tell you they are not people who live here in Astoria. When you walk in front of this business, you see everything that is wrong with society and the decadence of the human being.

I wish the waitresses were on it more and more friendly. For them to add 20% gratuity for 2 people after I had to remind the waitress of my order and flag her down for water and to order again multiple times, seems like a lot for this experience. An added 20% gratuity for happy hour seems like defeating the point. Maybe this is your way to level out? Seems unfair. Food is bomb tho. Can't complain.

Recently visited Bad Habits with some coworkers, it was a great spot for happy hour! If you're looking for a spot that blends Puerto Rican and Asian flavors with a vibrant, club-like atmosphere, this is it. We kicked things off with their margaritas during happy hour--totally worth it. Half off Margs during happy hour. We tried a variety of sushi rolls including the Pío Pio, Mar y Tierra and Cevichado. Very filling and delicious fusion rolls with fried plantain on the side. Also 2 for 1 during happy hour. The vibe is what really ties everything together. Think great music, cool lights, and an energy that makes you want to stay all night. Whether you're here for a quick bite or to let loose after work, Bad Habits hits all the right notes. Can't wait to come back!

Had an amazing time at Bad Habit for my friend's birthday! The food was delicious, the server was super attentive, and the DJ kept the energy up all night. Perfect spot for a fun night out!

Wow! The food. I've been here for both brunch/ dinner on a Saturday and I was not disappointed. I often find that restaurants with a party vibe do not place enough attention on their food offering and this was not the case here. They had platter options with a variety of items that were delicious! I didn't fully give it 5 stars because of the add on cost for the bottomless which just felt excessive. It is clearly displayed on their menu so make sure you read everything but all in all we had a great time

Bad Habits is always a vibe! Music and drinks are always on point! Went on Sunday for brunch and was a bit disappointed with the sancocho, it didn't taste good and fresh, it tasted like it was done the day before and was reheated, the rice was undercooked as well.

Bad Habits offers Latin-inspired sushi dishes that unfortunately aren't so great, but their well-made drinks and lively and very LOUD Spanish music create a vibrant atmosphere. The energy is great, although the food (some of the entrees and all of the sushi rolls) could definitely use improvement. The service provided was okay - not all that great.

I came here for my cousins birthday and walking into the restaurant it had a great vibe and ambiance. Definitely a good place to celebrate birthdays and go out with friends. It's more so of a younger crowd in their 20s. We had a lot of fun but honestly, their food wasn't really that good so I don't know if i would visit here again. The decorations and DJ was really fun and nice though. I didn't finish my meal, the taste was off and the food was cold

Super cute little spot in Astoria. Has a clubby decor vibe with neon lights and tv screens. The drinks are delicious and come fast. We ordered a little of everything to try and everything was super yummy . Service was fast .

Went here once, the space is a little small but the decor is fun, music was good. The service was okay, the bartender didn't know how to make a few common drinks, we settled on one and it was good. The drinks are pricey.

I took a chance and decided to go have drinks at Bad Habits. The bartender was really nice and there was no cover (it was early). The music and drinks was fire ! Definitely recommend!

Came in late on Friday. There wasn't a lot of people. The drink prices were reasonable. Cocktails were strong. They easily let us do separate checks even though our tabs were small. They played fun Latin songs from a few years ago.

We went here for a friend's birthday on a Saturday night and at first, we didn't see any reservations online for our desired time, but after calling we were able to get a table! There were plenty of available tables when we came, so I'm not really sure why there weren't available reservations online. However, upon entering, the atmosphere, decor, and vibes were very fun and noteworthy. For drinks, we ordered the bebesita, la otra, and la motama mule. My la otra was a fun blue color and at first tasted like a pina colada. However, I felt that the drink itself was not well mixed, as it got quite strong and borderline intolerable near the bottom of the drink. The bebesita looked very cute with the pineapple texture of the glass, but my friends also thought it was a bit strong. For food, we all ordered sushi (mar y tierra, a-cevichado, salchi-papi) and all were beautifully plated. I personally quite enjoyed my a-cevichado and the salchi-papi that I tried was also quite good, but it was filling due to the inclusion of the potato. The mar y tierra was also interesting due to the small pieces of steak and chips on top of the sushi. I would definitely return to try other drinks and food!

This place is great for a fun time, I went in a good for a birthday celebration. Good drinks, tasty food, and the ambience is lit, they had a dj on the night we went. My "la bebesita" drink was perfect! (I usually try to go for a piña colada type of drink lol)

So my cousin booked reservations for Sunday, March 5th for party of 10 at 2PM. The whole party arrives on time and we had to wait 48 minutes for our table. Mind you the day before they contacted my cousin to move the reservations 30 minutes later because they were busy. Why not move it the actual time you expected the parties prior to be done. I immediately would of left but I stood for my family. When we finally got seated we were told we had 90 minutes to be finished. Which made no sense to me cause obviously they do not apply this rule to their guest or we would of never had to wait the amount of time we did. The waitress began taking orders from us (food/drinks). We did not receive the drinks for quiet some time and we even had to go over to the bar. Our starters and meals were all brought out at different times, it was a total mess. Also my husband was the last person to be served and the whole table had finished eating already. (We all ate at separate times) I told the Asian manager guy all this and he apologized and was nice and all but didn't address the issue. I ordered the shrimp on top of plantains and they plantains were hard a rock I thought I would break my tooth. The chicken and waffles were so so and nobody was satisfied. I left there hungry, annoyed, and disappointed. Music was regular hits and Spanish music (no rap allowed the manager said) and no hookah before 10 PM. Needless to say it was my first and last visit to this establishment. Very beautiful decor and cool signs but that's the only thing they have going. Definitely overhyped!

The food and drinks are good however, I do feel like you're paying for the ambience rather than a decently sized meal. If you are looking to go sit and catch up with somebody, this is not your place just given that the music is blasting and it's more of a place to go to dance in your seat, get a bottle , celebrate a birthday and take a tons of pictures by the neon signs and flower walls. It's a little awkward because there is no dance floor while there a DJ. I know I sound like a centenarian saying this but this is more of a celebration spot not a "let's sit across each other and catch up". I left a little underwhelmed.

I came here for my birthday celebration on a Saturday night, and I had a great time. I made a reservation with the manager Wendell. You must make a reservation because it is a tight restaurant. I first ate dinner with my boyfriend, which was a great time. I ordered the steak mofongo, which was to die for. The bartender Suely was awesome at her job. She was so attentive, and made sure that we had a good experience. Then at 10 o'clock I have the back booth for my friends, and I to sit and have drinks. The DJ was very good. He played a mixture of everything. The place had awesome lighting and was a vibe. I wish the place was bigger and also the prices. Are kind of on the more expensive side. Eventually towards the end of the night they offered $100 bottles with my boyfriend bought because that was a cheap price. I would recommend bad habits to party with just be aware it is tight and it is kind of pricey.

Came here for an early dinner NYE before heading into Manhattan. Reserved a table for 2 in advance over the phone. Great food, ambiance and service! Neither of us had been before and we both enjoyed the experience. We shared the pio pio roll, tostones "nachos" and the bistec. Everything was delicious! I want to come back on a Wednesday for the rolls special to try more!

Came for the first time to celebrate my friend's birthday. The space is SMALL like very small but they compensate by having outdoor seating. We made reservations for 8pm and waited about 15 minutes to be seated after reservation time as they were preparing the table. No worries as drinks were being enjoyed at the bar. Once seated, our server came over immediately and took drink and appetizer orders. Food came out relatively fast. I ordered the wings which were spicy. My friend ordered the burger sliders and wanted me to mention that the "buns" were inedible as they were way too hard. Our main course came out right after. I ordered the pork chops and as good as they were, the rice that came with was even better. The serving sizes were huge!!! My friend ordered the steak and stared even though the temperature she ordered should of made it easy to chew, the steak was still rather tough. For dessert, my friend's sister provided the cake and was charged an additional ten dollars for cake cutting. In no way am I complaining about the price just FYI. They did sparklers and sing happy birthday which was nice The decor is so beautiful as y'all can see with many photo opps. The staff is attentive and kudos to the manager WENDELL for being so engaging and even taking group pics of us. I didn't order any drinks so I can't give feedback on it. Overall, I would recommend to celebrate for special occasions. Easy to get to as the train station is less than a block away. 15 minutes and less from 59th street Manhattan

I've been to Bad Habits quite a few times since they opened last summer. There's a lot of things I enjoy but certain aspects need work. The food is pretty good - I've been here a few times for dinner and their sushi and picadera platter are my fav. The drinks are good and strong and the bartenders are friendly for the most part. The service table-side could be a little better however. Even if you make a reservation you're only limited to 1.5 hours due to how small it is and how few tables there are so keep that in mind, even if you plan to buy bottles or keep drinking. All in all it's a fun experience and the music is great if you're into latin music (mainly reggaeton) and hip hop. It gets packeddddd on weekends so def come with a reservation or plan to wait over an hour.

The menu has changed but the skirt steak was very good. I prefer the chicken bites but the chicken dumplings were great. My drink wasn't all that fantastic but it's possible with the menu change maybe I got the wrong thing. My partner didn't like his lobster roll either and I remember it tasting much better. I will go back hopefully things will go back to normal.

I have been here several times for only drinks. The place itself is beautifully decorated and pretty to look at. The bouncer is always very friendly and is big on dress code. The bartenders are always very attentive and make awesome drinks. I highly recommend their lychee martinis, they are very strong and taste incredible. They usually have a DJ on the weekend which is a vibe. I tried their tostone sliders the other day and thought they were very tasty. It was two friend plantains with a thin slice of hamburger meat, lettuce, tomato and picked onions. The meat was very well seasoned and not dry, the taste overall was very good. I have still to try their brunch which I will be doing very soon.

Bad Habits Astoria opened last summer. I found out about the restaurant through TheWhatstheMove app. Their 2 for 1 sushi special and $8 frozen drinks caught my eye. I've visited a few times during Happy hour and I enjoyed their Calamari and Dominican chicken the most. The one time I dined on a Saturday night, service was slow due to them hosting large parties including birthday celebrations. The ambience is nice, a great place for cool photo ops.

The vibes in this spot are amazing. Really fun ambiance and nice customer service. Their drinks are super tasty and have a good amount of liquor and they have a great happy hour. The only downfall is the food. We tried the sushi's and the salmon but the best thing they had was the dumplings. The rest of the food was bland and unmemorable. The sushi while it is a great concept it isn't very well executed so that was a turn off. Bottom line: Come for the vibes and drinks but come well fed!

It's a very aesthetic place with colorful walls, pretty drinks (they're strong too), and pretty good music (although the DJ was playing such good hip-hop at first and the minute we sat down, he started playing Spanish..). We got the pio pio sushi (which was delicious) with yuca mash, chicken fritters (I forgot the exact name) and kumquat mojitos. Everything was so yummy. The only con is probably the wait time. You really need to hound the host because I had a 5pm reservation, came in at 4:50pm and still had to wait till 5:20pm to be seated. I was told the party sitting at our table was there for over 3 hours (meanwhile the limit is 1.5 hours due to COVID) and if as restaurant employees, you can't tell the customers to hurry the fuck up, then idk what to tell you. Nonetheless, wear your cutest brunch outfit and give this place a try.

Very pretty inside. It's great for a photo Op. The location is small so I'm glad I went for HH & it was empty. It's dark and it was hot but after asking they turned the AC up. I guess because the doors was open the air was going out. The food was good. The calamari was good but it could've been a little crunchier. The Tostone burgers were very good. I highly recommend trying. I enjoyed the drinks. The slush was perfect and they were still strong. Customer service is great as well.

I came here for happy hour on Monday and they have $10 monfongos which are so amazing and comes with a delicious cream sauce. Also had creamed spinach which really was like a dip and maduros. This is a lit place, I came here for partying once before but it's chill for happy hour on a weekday too

Beautiful venue, very instagramable. Dined on a Saturday for brunch, place was surprisingly empty (weather was bad), got busy around 5pm. Wait staff was very friendly, food and drinks came out quick. Stew was good but needed salt or a little more spice. The Dominican sushi was interesting, def worth a try! Chicken wings weren't cooked properly and I would pass on the sliders. Steak & eggs and Dominican chicken were also good. We wanted hookah but it's not available until after 11pm!

This place has it all. Great lounge type vibe with great drinks and great food. After 10pm they offer hookah too. Dropped in on a Friday night the DJ was playing great music to keep the vibe up. Our server was super friendly. We tried various drinks which all were good. For mean we started with the chicken satay and tomatoes sliders. Meal we got the steak sushi and snapper. Everything was delicous. They have plenty of set ups for cute photo ops too

I was very skeptical when I saw the menu but I had a good time. The majority of their rolls have Maduros in it and I do not like maduros so I was not able to get a roll they should probably mix up the menu a little bit at least offer a few rolls with no maduros. I got the steak and fries which was good and the chicken gyoza appetizer which was delicious. For drinks I got the bebesita which was delicious at the time but afterwards I could definitely feel the effects of cheap alcohol. Both me and my friend had very bad experiences from those drinks so beware! i am definitely not a lightweight when it comes to drinking so i know it was the quality of the alcohol i wish they had a top shelf version of that drink. Overall the place is very tiny but appearsmuch larger in pictures but it has good music and a good vibe just be prepared to be crowded.

Love the decor. The dj. The drinks.... BUT I do dn't try the food. I want to next time though. I want to come back when the weather is nicer to really see wassup and get the full experience. The birthday sign is super cute and it definitely instagram-able. The sign and sparklers make a cute spectacle. Hookah is also available but they don't refill I don't think. I wish I took pictures but I'm saving it for when I'm super cute because it's really pretty inside. Perfect spot for a date or to mix and mingle. I saw couples and groups so it's a pretty social spot. I love it!

I came here one night on a weekday unexpected so let me say it is a nice place the walls are covered in art and all of the tables are 1/2 booth. The music LOUD and the play list was for a dancing crowd that has had many drinks not for a slow weekday. They have hookah here 2 flavors and it's amazing smooth it's a def gem here. For drinks we got margaritas which were good but the food was completely off. My friend got plantain sliders which he said were good but it's to much plantain after the first one. He literally ate one slider and left the other two. He also ordered the shrimp on plantain and it was topped with guacamole and a white sauce. The shrimps were very small and not flavorful at all we literally ate 2 and left the rest. The shrimp seem to be undercooked cold not enjoyable. I ordered the Diablo mami which is 1/2 pineapple rice which had no pineapples inside 3 cold shrimp, tuna, tostones and some more stuff the rice was hard not edible just nasty. I should have gotten the salmon but being that this would be my first open pineapple experience I thought I would enjoy it. I mean it does look nice but that's it. Service was ok

I would actually give this a 3.5 - but I rounded up because it's more of an issue of preference rather than the restaurant itself. So stumbled upon it on a tik tok with a few girlfriends. We thought it looked cute and interior wise - small but very instagrammable. Which all of that is fine but it's definitely got a club-restaurant feel. Which again is fine but I'm an old soul - so trying to eat my sushi with bumping music when I'm trying to talk is not my vibe (9/10 times). Maybe earlier would be quieter but in weekends and nights - forget about it. Also a bit pricier than what the quality and quantity of food and drink would dictate - but it's not bad either.

Bumped into this place strolling down Astoria and fell in loveee. The food was so good. The vibes were there. Music was so on point, my date and I were dancing all night. Our server was amazing, I'm so upset that I forgot her name but we came on a Sunday night. The manager had awesome energy. He even threw in a free coquito shot which was delicious. Will definitely come back.

We had initially made reservations for 8:00 and had a party bus for a friend's birthday to drop us to a club after. The restaurant was so packed that we had to wait till 8:45 to get seated. Was disappointed that we had to rush nonetheless the food and drinks were delicious! The Dominican sushi was very good and my personal favorite was their margaritas! I would return again just hope they can keep up with their reservation times!

Had a reservation at 9:30 for a party of 8, we were seated 30 minutes later. When we were finally seated at the table, we were served with two broken glasses filled with water which nipped two of our party-members. We ordered food together and it came separately, with my own food coming 15 minutes after everyone else in my party. In addition, we came here to celebrate a birthday, we watched more than 5 other guests receive a "happy birthday" song and dessert, our party did not receive that treatment - at all. Upon receiving the check which was almost $500, we called over the manager to discuss all the things that had gone wrong. When we discussed our reservation with the manager, he told us he "couldn't make people leave" if they stayed seated after the check -- took absolutely no accountability for how getting seated later than planned would effect the rest of our night. When we brought up the glasses, he told us that he had no control over the status of the glasses in the restaurant. Finally, when we discussed not receiving the birthday treatment *every other party* received, he told us that he was never notified. When a woman came by with a birthday sign, she turned the light on, and WALKED AWAY from our table. No "Happy Birthday", no song, no dessert, nothing. If you're looking for less than mediocre service, with overpriced food and drinks, this is the place to go.

My friend saw Bad Habits on Instagram and suggested that we tried it out... with all the cute pictures I saw on social media, I agreed that this place had to be added to our invisible "NEED TO GO TO" list. As soon as we arrived, we were impressed with the decor! Bad Habits has the cutest spots for pictures. Our experience was ruined when there was a cockroach on the floor and the server rushed to step on it and kill it so we would not see it, and she dropped our plates... pretty embarrassing (on their part)!-- I am attaching pictures to this review. I was very disappointed so obviously I would not recommend this place. If you still decide to go-- Chulitos were okay... Def skip "La Bandera;" the chicken was bland and the maduro was undercooked. We actually left from this place and went somewhere else and had a feast.

What can I say that's actually positive about this place? The food and drinks are subpar and the atmosphere is entirely ghetto...picture the Bronx meets Astoria. The service is terrible, the hostess was pleasant but the other people who work there look miserable. Our server looked like she was just over it from the beginning and the busser took our food away before we were finished. The server then dropped a check as she passed by without stopping to see if we were ok. The manager stands around trying to look important and trust me no one is impressed. We asked for another drink and the server said their was a time limit on the table but would give us one more. While we sat and had our drinks we noticed they were rushing everyone out only to have half the place be empty for the next 30 mins and was still the same when we left. This place is a joke, it's for ppl who don't know any better or haven't been anywhere to know what a decent place is like. I gave it 2 stars because the DJ was good and food was decent...that's about it.

This is the ultimate spot for happy hour! Eight dollar appetizers eight dollar frozen drinks and two for one sushi special! It's so good! The atmosphere is a party vibe and will be great for celebrations and dinner with friends. The location is pretty central as well it's right next to the subway. I had great service from when I walked in to when I left the manager even stop by to greet us. I really enjoy the plantain sliders very filling. The sushi was good a well but it was more of a Dominican/hispanic take on sushi then actual rolls and sashimi. This place has something for everyone and their drinks are strong! I highly recommend.

Came here for a birthday dinner. And it I feel bad leaving a negative review but the food was terrible. I ordered the churrasco steak. It came out cold as did everything else. It had a sliver of churrasco sauce on top. The fried calamari was soooooo salty. The sushi was terrible and the tostones with the chicken on top also cold. I would not come back here for food. I will say the drinks were delicious and that's the only reason I gave them 3 stars. The spicy margarita was amazing! They need someone in the kitchen making sure the dishes go out on time and that the food is hot when served especially steak.

Came here because of tiktok for a dinner reservation. So the ambiance is really cute, it's definitely a photo op type of place and best for a young 20s crowd. I'll start with the pros: Cute photo opportunities Friendly service Drinks were good, the lychee martinis were martini-ing Music was jumping (mostly Latin genre, sprinkle of hip hop mixed in) There's Happy hour 4-7, we didn't get there early enough but good to know Cons: I did not like the food. At all. Solid 2/5 on the food. The flavors were all over the place, did not taste good in my opinion and I'm not a picky eater. We tried quite a variety of food. We got calamari, the sweet plantain boat with shrimp, three sushi rolls, wings, the pineapple fried rice, salmon and mash. It was a lot going on in these plates. I'm all here for unique flavor profiles and different tastes, but they should compliment each other and here, they didn't.

Oh My goodness I cannot wait to get back here. The food was sooooooo good. It was an unorthodox pairing that I never knew I needed. My appetizer was the O Mai Gai and it was delicious. I forgot what entree I had but it was very similar to my appetizer. Soooo tasty. T The music and ambiance were also great. I'll definitely be back and I hope the 2nd time matches or supercedes my 1st experience.

FOOOD IS SOO GOOOOD! Drinks are good, music is always really good! (Latin hits Bad bunny, Rauw, etc). Customer service is also very good, STRICT ON RESERVATION TIMES! You need a reservation! They have hookah. Very photo-op vibes, trendy space. Great for celebrations.
