Binky's Eatery - Review - Downtown Atlanta - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"We probably won’t ever live like Cardi B and Offset, but downtown takeout spot Binky’s wants us to at least know how it tastes. The rappers’ personal chef found a corner in OG Five Points just big enough to put a kitchen for cooking his concise menu of southern stables like fried chicken and (weekend-only) oxtails. The turkey wings and salmon over rice are solid, but don’t do nearly enough to make the area’s parking headache worth it. As for the sides, Cardi might be up for all that cinnamon in her candied yams, but you won’t be. The mac and lima beans are fine, but for a $38 lamb chop dinner, us non-Grammy winners need our taste buds to two-step a little harder." - DeMarco Williams

Chef to Lil Baby and Migos Opens His Downtown Atlanta Restaurant Binky’s Soul Food Eatery - Eater Atlanta

"Binky’s Soul Food Eatery opens Friday, April 7, across from the Five Points MARTA station in the Five Points Plaza along Broad Street. Williams calls his new downtown Atlanta restaurant a 'central location for all of my clients.' With a name honoring his father’s nickname, Williams describes his cooking style as 'southern soul' infused with the flavors of Japan, the Caribbean, and countries throughout Europe. Expect dishes at Binky’s like turkey wings and oxtails, a variety of seafood, smoked turkey collards, and the chef’s popular baked mac and cheese, along with lemon pound cake and banana pudding for dessert. Binky’s is mostly a takeout operation, but should include a few seats for those who wish to dine in after receiving their order." - Beth McKibben

10/10!! I got fried fish, collard greens, yams and mac n cheese. Everything was exceptional. We tried going to Betty Sue’s for brunch but they were closed for a private party. The owner saw me and my friends eating outside Binky’s and let us in to his wife’s spot, Betty Sue’s to eat at a table with A/C. I can taste the love!

I love love love it here I’m just sad I’m just now discovering them !!! And they gave me extra food 😍 The food is amazing. The drink is amazing and the staff are very welcoming and professional. I love it. I love the music gives you that atmosphere that matches the taste. I will definitely be back 10 out of 10. I wish I could give them 10 stars instead of five. I got the Salisbury steak, collard greens and canned hams and lemonade, and they throw in some extra fried fish 🤍

My job ordered us lunch from this restaurant and it was terrible. As a first time customer, this is not a good first impression. The turkey wing was over a yellow rice that was very salty. I don’t know what kind of gravy that was that was on the turkey. The cornbread dressing tasted more like stove top with was supposed to be gravy. The macaroni and cheese was very bland. None of my coworkers enjoyed their lunch at all. Please do better. I do not see how you guys have all fives with your food tasting like it does. Also do better with the presentation of your food.

Let me answer the questions that everyone comes for first: 1) Is the food good? Yes. 2) Would you return? Yes 3) Where is it located? In the alley between the Marta station and City Gear. Now, the review. I think this place is a nice little gem in the area. If you want a quick soul food meal without having to wait in long lines, this is a good spot for you. Be mindful: It’s a small spot with very little space to sit or stand. What I ordered: Oxtails - 8/10 (Good flavor. Slightly more tenderness desired) Mac n Cheese - 8/10 (Noodles just a little overcooked) Yams - 9/10 (Yummy! A little stringy) Yellow Rice - 8/10 (It’s yellow rice lol) Peach Drink - 10/10 (OMG!) $1 Fried chicken - 10/10 (Nothing ever beats an inexpensive piece of greasy fried chicken that reminds you of home) The customer service was impeccable. Greeted properly and kept updated on my order. They were quick to deliver as well. The one drawback I saw was the storage of containers in the front. I know they may be limited in storage space, but it kind of takes away from the atmosphere and connection from employees to customers in my opinion. As they enhance the quality of their products, I believe they’ll go far and stay around a while. In the end, I’m glad to have a soul food spot near my office that I can enjoy. Looking forward to a return visit to try other items.

Google
I once gave a 5 star review here about a year ago . When I first started having Binkys it was my number 1 favorite soul food in Atlanta and that says alot because I’m from south Ga and soul food don’t come from no restaurant. But Binkys had me hooked. I put my family and friends on too Sadly…today im writing this review after 3 back to back bad experiences spanning over the last few months . My second time getting food that seemed to not to be fresh . But this time was a first for me …entire plate just nasty . I’m currently throwing my entire plate away and ordering PF Changs which should also say a lot lol mind u I drove from Stone Mountain at 4pm on a Monday for this . Turkey wing not even smothered smh . Pineapple lemonade was fire though.

Google
I was really excited to try this food after looking at their TikTok, but it was very misleading. We order it on DoorDash and it was nothing like what is posted on social media. The candied yams are canned and complete mash. The rice was hard. The baked chicken only came with 2 drumsticks and it’s supposed to be a leg and thigh. No gravy and It was super salty. The Mac and cheese was the only thing edible. Very disappointing.

First time Atlanta, always coming back here! Food is incredible. Daniella can COOK and Bryan was incredible to our whole group. Best soul food i’ve had. Can wait to come back!

Google
I don’t even know where to begin.. Firstly, as soon as me and my group walked in we were immediately greeted by the owner Chef Baul and he was one of the nicest people I have ever met in the food service industry. I ordered the spagetthi and collard greens and girlllll.. it was SO good. The collard greens were the best i’ve ever had, and im a southern girl. The spagetthi was perfection my friends and I enjoyed the entire experience from start to finish. Chefs wife, Daniella was an absolute angel and just opened a restaurant next door that we WILL be attending in the morning. Everything was top notch and on top of that, the prices were extremely reasonable for the amount you get. This is true soul food and if you have friends from out of town, BRING THEM HERE to enjoy a little taste of Atlanta. Thank you Chefs for the amazing experience! **UPDATE!** I went back today a couple of months later and tried the salisbury steak and gravy/rice and it was delicious once again. THIS time i remembered to take a picture because your eyes also need to blessed like mine was when i opened the box.. Not to mention it was fresh (i watched him cook my salisbury steak) and my friend got fried fish + 2 sides! He also said it was delicious as usual. This was also so fresh! (she breaded and cooked it while we were there.) I love love Binkys and they never fail to impress me. I Will be trying his lovely wife’s restaurant right next door that is BEAUTIFUL on the inside. GO SUPPORT THESE GUYS!

Yelp
Went yesterday, had the oxtail plate Mac and cheese w candied yams, the yams barely had taste and the oxtail was over seasoned with a bunch of fat on each piece, the Mac was alright Feels criminally over charged, that's just me though. Maybe getting oxtails from anywhere but a Jamaican spot was a mistake ‍

Chantal E.

Yelp
The location is a sketchy area so recommend going at day light hours. Its a counter service establishment so no place to sit down and eat. The food was good! I ordered the fried lobster tail with fried fish, collard greens, candied yams and mac and cheese. The lobster tail was a bit tough but very flavorful - 3/5 Fried fish was the BEST! I had two pieces but one was so small that it completely fried up so there wasn't much meat on it. The fish was well seasoned - 4/5 Loved the collard greens - 5/5 The candied yams were lightly sweetened, not over powering so it was great to cleanse the palette after eating everything else. It was a great side but wouldn't recommend eating it alone as the flavor isn't strong - 3/5

Yelp
The food was okay. I got the Baked Chicken and my wife had Fried. Both were just okay. Mac and cheese needed a bit more salt and pepper. But it got the job done. The yams were okay but not sweet enough for me. When they touched the Mac the magic didn't happen. If you know what I mean. Overall if you need something quick that doesn't hurt the pockets it's a good spot.

Yelp
HUGE portions. $17 for a dinosaur sized turkey leg, yellow rice & 2 sides. the greens were fine - the yams were delicious. the turkey had a lot of flavor going on and the smoothie red gravy took it to the next level.

Yelp
Very convenient location near the underground. Small interior. Good for a quick bite if you are absolutely starving, but better choices in the area. I did not like the taste of the food, seemed poor quality. Also the interior was very smoky from something they were cooking.

Yelp
My first time here at this establishment....was greeted with a warm welcome....was walked thru the menu options....music was on point a restaurant smelled good...so I ordered the porkchop sandwich & fish dinner plate.....the food was great an the price was even better....only thing was parking is kind of difficult...I will be back to try the rest of the menu....

Yelp
I did a DoorDash order and it was horrible I ordered Baked Chicken with Collard Greens and Black-eye Peas and side of dressing for $8.50. I got some dry chicken in brown gravy with some under cooked nasty yellow rice some over garlic seasoning collard greens and green beans that I didn't order and some powdered mashed potatoes in place of my dressing. I was livid because I haven't had a Hot Meal in almost 3 weeks and this was so disappointing plus I was not refunded or price adjusted by them or DoorDash. Amazing how they can post pictures of food that looks delicious and send you crappy food and get paid.

Yelp
The address on Yelp will take you to the street in front of a bus stop. Beyond the bus stop is a staircase to the Marta station and a line of stores that includes Binky's. It took me a minute to realize where it was near the underground. There is only room to sit and wait inside. You'll have to get the food to go. I was helped right away and the food came out in good time. I would recommend the fried wings, the fried fish, collard greens and lemon pound cake. Meals range from $14-$40 and the customer service is top notch. I think I'll be back to try them again when it isn't rainy and cold outside.

Yelp

Yelp
When going to Binky's you might feel a little intimidated especially if you're not an ATL native. The location can feel a little dangerous just due to the amount of homeless people surrounding the establishment. Luckily there's a strong presence of GA police patrolling the area which gave us peace of mind. When it came to the food, I ordered the baked chicken with mac n cheese and candied yams. It was absolutely delicious! Finger-licking delicious! The chicken was seasoned beautifully & the mac n cheese had the best flavor and texture. The candied yams also hit the spot. For dessert I ordered banana pudding & red velvet cake. It had the perfect amount of sweetness & the portions were great. Overall, the food was amazing and definitely overshadows the location. I would definitely go back & I will definitely recommend this spot if you want to try great & affordable soul food.

Yelp
If I could give it ZERO stars I would. Mark my words; this place WILL BE CLOSED SOON! This was absolutely disgusting. I ordered it on Uber eats spent $85 dollars. And it was ALL HORRIBLE. If you like fatty, tough, hard to chew oxtails this is your place. If you want burnt dressing that looks like literally (pictured) this is your place. They also forgot 2 of the items ordered. This was a waste of money, no one ate the food. Do yourself a favor.... DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. You've been warned. Binky's you owe me an apology. This food was offensive, and the price was theft. I feel like a crime was committed, I'm tempted to call the police. UPDATE: I share my number with "Binkys" because they asked for feedback. They proceeded to call me and tell me I was a liar & a "hater" (this is for real), they said there food was delicious and everyone likes it , they called out of my name, and hung up the phone on me! SIR.. you have 2.6 stars on yelp and gave one reviewer food poisoning. . Be mad at your below average overpriced food. The city of Atlanta needs to come inspect this place. Btw... I pulled The confainers out the trash just to add more pictures. Challenge to the readers.. find the "dressing" pictured, I'll wait . Let's keep in mind, the food was so bad, this is the only review I've ever written!!

Yelp
Everything was great from service, time of preparation, drinks, dessert (red velvet cake) and most importantly the food! Quit asking if it's good. If you're reading this review this is your sign!

2nd visit june 1st 2024..Salisbury steak dinner the sweet potatoes were horrible and rancid..immediately spit them out

Yelp
Very suspect location and the food tasted like it was reheated leftovers. Customer service was bad. The person at the front looked like they didn't want to be there. They are not cooking fresh food here. My fried fish tasted old and mac was hard and not cheesy at all. I like to support black businesses but this ain't it. Way too many better places to get me fix than this place. Celebrity chefs are out. Please bring back real chefs that know how to cook

Yelp
I knew the food was going to be good when I walked up and it was crowded. Everyone around just kept talking about how good it was so I was pretty eager to try. Service was good & my food came out fast. The mac & cheese was the bomb, that was my favorite. The collard greens was so good, taste like granny's. Loved the fried chicken. The fried seafood was perfectly seasoned as well! The owners were super nice & hospitable. I'll definitely be coming back often, this was my first time!

Yelp
Best soul food restaurant to-go in the city Customer service never fails and food always fresh with great specials 10/10

Yelp
Went there today to finally give them a try due to Instagram. We got there, first didn't have any collard greens or Lima beans. We decided to get the fried LP Turkey wings and it was not fried. It didn't have any LP flavor on it, it was a baked wing that looks like they broiled it to crisp the skin. It was sooo dry and tasted old. I got the Mac and cheese and green beans and they had a decent flavor to them but also tasted old. To had to spend money for parking and then drive downtown, it was definitely not worth it. I will never go back again!!

Yelp
Worst ever, horrible customer servic, ordered multiple times thru door dash to have my order canceled everytime, after waiting 30-45minutes for delivery

Yelp
After looking up Atlanta food reviews, I had to check out Binky's. First, as someone not from ATL, let me say, it took me close to 30 minutes to figure out where exactly the restaurant was and then how to park close by. I was committed, though, because I had placed an online order. I ordered oxtail, mac n cheese, green beans, sweet potatoes, and banana pudding. Mac n cheese. So much flavor! Don't let reviews talk you out of it saying it's just cheese and noodles. Loved it! It was probably my favorite thing if I had to pick. Sweet potatoes, perfection. Oxtail, amazing. So tender and the gravy was so good! Green beans- so flavorful and delish. (I had ordered lima beans with okra but got this, and I'm not mad) Banana pudding.....very basic. Not bad, just not special. Needs a little more love. I probably wouldn't reorder. Customer service- great!

Chandra J.

Yelp
I use to eat here a lot but today was my first time back and customer service sucked ass literally it was terrible they didn't even tell me it was my food on the counter they other employee asked and the cashier said it's hers..... And you pay 15 for a plate and I got one little Salisbury steak and I ordered two dinners that was not a good experience at all and I was gonna tip cash as usual but I'll keep it and won't be back....

Yelp
I placed an order on Mother's day for my Mom and attempted to pick it up to take to her. The restaurant was CLOSED!!! I called the number provided and got no answer. I've tried to contact them through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and email ever since May 15th and have gotten no response. I support Black owned businesses as much as possible, but I'll never order from Binky's ever again. Mind you that it was my first time ordering from this place!! https://www.facebook.com/Afreeca.Nobodyduzitbetta.Fulton/videos/232626256053103/?mibextid=Nif5oz

Yelp
The food was Excellent! I travel all over the country and it's great to be able to leave a 5 star review in my hometown! First, the Chef & his wife were very hospitable. The inside was very organized and clean. I must say everyone was on there job! I had the fish, Mac & Cheese, and collards...with the pineapple lemonade! Again...the food was EXCELLENT! I was doing my lil dance while eating..lol. My daughter had the lamb chops, mac & cheese, collards & pineapple lemonade! She said the lamb chops melted in her mouth! (A lot of establishments are cashless these days so this is not new/ this is for the previous reviewer). The atmosphere was festive, the Dj was bumping, there were mock tails which were cute and free valet for all patrons! What more can you ask for...Great food, great drinks, & great service. Please come down and try Binkys run by "Celebrity Chef Baul" ! @chefbaul

Yelp
I felt bait and switched..$26 on Instagram $38 + tax in person. And this is with no drink or cornbread

Kyra R.

Yelp
The food was trash ! The fish was cold and not cooked fresh!! Everything tasted burnt! They promoted a special and when we got there the cashier laughed and said it ended! The food is overpriced and overall just not good!! If you wanted to sit down and eat it's impossible being its location and you're r surrounded by homeless ppl!! Binky's is not it!!
google avatar

Yelp
Came and made a visit from California the food was wonderful and the service was amazing. Thank you guys for giving us such great service my mom was happy.
google avatar

Robynn H.

Yelp
The food is delicious. I watched them, Portia show Sunday, 6/4/23. No problems here! The comments from "others" read like they criticize their own for a living. STOP! BEFORE sharing your negative opinion about ANY restaurant, FIRST, contact the owners and give them a chance to correct the problem. TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED! IT'S THAT SIMPLE!!!
google avatar

LaToya M.

Yelp
A little difficult to find at first, depending on what you use for navigation. I had to call for clearer instruction. It was well worth the adventure. The food is delicious and there was a lot on the plate. The service was also good.

Bre S.

Yelp
This was in my food, ordered from Uber eats! The lemonade fruit punch, 6/10 taste watered down, the greens were good and yams were full of brown sugar and cinnamon, but were tasty. The Mac n cheese 7/10 it was cool. I got the chicken and Turkey Wings. And they do not believe in seasoning. I had to fix it up and add lots of hot sauce. The banana pudding is a joke. That's why it's BOGO on the menu. Wouldn't recommend!!!
google avatar

Ling K.

Yelp
A friend has been begging me to try this place because she claims the food was so good. We went here today and I didn't like it at all. The service was great the chef was friendly as well as another plain clothed gentleman. I ordered smothered fried chicken, yams and mashed potatoes. I normally play it safe with my sides when I haven't tried a place yet. The chicken came over rice which was lacking seasoning and was undercooked. The chicken and gravy itself was overly seasoned and very salty. The mashed potatoes tasted instant or like real mashed potatoes and instant mixed. The yams were not sweet at all and over cooked. I ordered fruit punch which they were out of. I got pineapple lemonade instead and it was lacking pineapple flavor. We mentioned it to the guy and he came out and just added another thing of pineapple but it still wasn't as tasty as I was hoping. I also didn't like the cookies. They had like a oily or buttery residue. I also don't like where this place is located. Basically underground Atlanta and parking isn't free.
google avatar

April S.

Yelp
This food is not soul food . The seasoning lacked on everything we had which were the turkey wings(out of rice that day )Yams tasted out the can with an attempt to dress them up. If your looking for auntie and grandmas cooking This is not the spot. Too much hype and not enough flavor

Yelp
As a Melanated, Multi-Racial Man of Color, It is extremely important to me to support African American businesses, That being said when Binky's Eatery opened, I supported them with all enthusiasm. However, on Tuesday evening April 18th, 2023, At approximately 6 PM, I ordered the chef special, which was suggested and recommended by the Owner and "chef" And I use Both Terms advisedly. The special was " Salisbury's steak", over a bed of yellow rice, which i waited an extra twenty minutes for, because they had run out, My sides were Collard greens, Macaroni and cheese and candied yams, notably the yams and collards were fine--no complaints, However, The Salisbury steak was so hard, it literally broke my Knife and fork, The macaroni and cheese had a foul taste and odor as if the cheese or the milk was spoiled. I attempted to call the restaurant , however I got a voicemail that would not allow me to leave messages, Subsequently today I stopped by the restaurant to share my thoughts and experience with chef and owner , who became immediately Defensive, Denying my experience And to add insult to injury, he walked away to greet 3 other guests, who had never eaten there before and left me waiting for a sum total of 4 minutes, When he finally returned, he only continued to deny and defend, arrogantly telling me that they do not give out refunds, I reminded him, that I never asked for a refund. The food and service is horrible. Any Five year old can do a better job, And to Add insult to injury, we're dealing with potential serve-safe issues, Spoiled milk and/or cheese, Combined with Salisbury steak one could use as a weapon. BOTTOM LINE, if you haven't eaten there, do yourself a favor..... DON'T!!!!!!!!! The food is terrible and potentially dangerous! The staff and the owners have A VILE ATTITUDE And you run the risk of being robbed and assaulted based on the elements hanging out directly in front of the restaurant. Ironically, as I left binkys, I met a woman, who told me she ate there twice, "the first time was fine", she said, "but the second time was nasty" she stated, "The food was overcooked and had no taste", the lady said. I understood completely what that lady meant and though I'm not sure what Culinary school the owners attended,, they should go back IMMEDIATELY and DEMAND A REFUND!!!!!!!!! Just because you have made an item or two that your family tells you they love, doesn't make you a chef! It is more than clear, in fact it's palpable these are not chefs, arguably they are not the greatest cooks, with no clue about (carry over cooking), (time and temperature) (mis en place) as well as a host if things a real chef would know, for example: adding breadcrumbs and heavy cream to your protein to make it moist. That little tip is free, I graduated With a Bachelors of Science from Culinary School with honors, I also work in hospitality, where my guests are always right, which explains my success... Atlanta Restaurants, have the life of a Medfly, and word of mouth travels, especially when a cook doesnt have the ability to turn out consistently great food and when it's brought to their attention, they arrogantly defend and deny. SMH, it's sad..... Any Charlatan can sell someone a plate of food, getting them to return requires deft ability, customer service and skill. It's clear Binky's Eatery has not one of those qualities.... CC: City of Atlanta Mayor's Office

Yelp
They offer a menu of like 6 items and they were out of banana pudding and macaroni and cheese. You literally have less of a menu than most food trucks and can't even keep the items available. Waited in line for like 10 mins because the disorganized flow they have. Staff was friendly enough but damn what you selling? Damn sure not the menu items. Lol

Anthony H.

Yelp
This is my second time ordering from Binky's being left disappointed. While the food is somewhat tasty, this is the second CONSECUTIVE time something has been left off my order. My first order was smothered steak over rice with 2 sides. My steak had no gravy. Now I ordered baked chicken over rice with 2 sides, I received NO rice. While the food may taste good, it's extremely frustrating to pay good money for delivery services and my order being incorrect twice.

Lamar S.

Yelp
Completely poor service, the website ordering system kicks your order out and holds your money for a period of time. Completely horrible experience and bad business. SAVE YOURSELF the headache

Billy G.

Yelp
Just had the oxtails and turkey wings AMAZING, was referred by a friend everything was seasoned to perfection I'll definitely be back!!!!!!

Maria M.

Yelp
I really wanted to enjoy this place but after the experience I had for my first time visit, I left very disappointed. Aside from quite a few of the menu items being unavailable (the pineapple lemonade, Mac and cheese, greens), I placed an order for 6 wings and got charged for 6 wings. Even after the employee was bagging up my order and she opened up the containers to double check that everything was correct, I didn't realize until we got back to our hotel that only three wings were in the box. If the parking situation wasn't such a headache, I would have gone back. Aside from this, the food was really just okay. If the food would have been better and would've actually been like the pictures, the $60+ I paid for a salmon plate, 3 wings, a side of yams and two fruit punches would have been worth it and I perhaps could've looked past this happening. But after being shorted and the food being underwhelming and putting in the extra effort to pay for parking and making this our first stop after a 10+ hour drive, I can definitely say this was just not it.

Alex D.

Yelp
I visited Binky's yesterday & everything from the service to the food was great. I ordered fried chicken, macaroni & cheese & greens. Everything was good & seasoned very well. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Ok Binkys! I was excited after seeing the tik tocs and reels as I always love to support new black businesses! My excitement turned into disappointment really quickly as 1. the location was suspect. I was accosted by homeless and the rancid smells of urine which ruined my appetite before I arrived. 2. I was there for the Thursday special only to learn what I drove there for wasn't ready! It was 1230 and the meatloaf which was advertised for 12 bucks wasn't ready for another 30 mins which brings me to my 3rd. point. The owner's daughter suggested the oxtails and my husband settled for the pork chop which was on special too because we came for the 12 dollar lunch special! The check was 53 dollars with no drinks for 2 plates! Our 24 dollar lunch date quickly turned into 53 bucks because they weren't prepared at 1230! Sounds like a bait and switch tactic! 4. I am a southern girl! I grew up eating max and cheese, greens etc. The food was subpar. Mac was dry, greens were flavorful and the oxtails while tender needed a bit more punch! I will not return! While I was waiting a lady brought her plate of turkey wings back because there were veins running through the meat. Marrow? Uncooked? I'm not sure, but I won't return to find out. The owners daughter said I eat the marrow! That's just marrow! What????! Horrible experience awful customer service! I won't spend another dime there!

Yelp
**PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY** Now I wasn't gonna write a review but as I'm sitting on this damn toilet pooping my guts out, I thought these mf tried it. I paid over $130 to try out this black owned ( celebrity chef") business and my sister who ordered all the food paid $160+. I ordered the seafood platter and everything was fried hard and had that microwave warmth to it so it wasn't fresh. The collard greens (tmi- which didn't even dissolve in my stomach be it's all over my tissue) was tasteless and crunchy. The banana pudding was smelly and disgusting and I can tell they made it daysssss prior. The cupcakes had a damn smell too. Like, I really hope they enjoyed my damn money because I won't EVERRRRR come back to that bullshit. Lastly, the google/Apple Maps couldn't find that sh*t in the first place. It probably was a sign to not even go. **WHO EVER COOKED THIS FOOD SHOULD COUNT YOUR DAYS BECAUSE MY ASS IS ON FIRE**

Yelp
They say first impressions set the tone for the future. Well let me tell you, this place definitely set a negative tone with its GRAND opening. Why must I sit in this long line for twenty minutes, ready to eat, place and order only for them to tell me they don't accept cash. I get most places downtown do not, which is fair, however others do, not only that, those that don't take cash are competent enough to have a SIGN out that says WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH. How are you a cashless restaurant and you can't even have the decency and organization to tell your patrons that only card is accepted. Make this make sense please, because it doesn't. No where in any of this lovely advertising did ANYONE mention "no cash, or "cashless". Typical of a black owned business to put so much effort into making the place look pretty and new only to miss out on business because of the simplest thing in the world. Communication. I know I'm not the only one either. Ridiculous. They need to do better and have a better sense of organization before I will EVER consider even wasting my time to walk over to this ghetto hole in the wall. Crazy. Now I have no food, and I have to wait till I get off at 5 in the evening to eat dinner because of these people. Thank you, for making me go hungry today...

Yelp
I visit this weekend and it was oka but could have been better coming from a Chef kitchen. I had turkey wings which was a over season and salty they wasn't tender. The Mac and cheese wasn't what I expected just cheese and noodles. Corn bread was dry and they charge a $1.00 it doesn't comes with the meal. The collards was okay a bit to sweet.

Yelp
I had been following Chef Baul and his delicious looking dishes on IG for years and always wanted to try his cooking so I recently decided to go by Binky's for a late lunch! I had the oxtail meal with macaroni and cheese and candied yams and it was delicious! I love the fact that all meals come with yellow and two sides. The macaroni was creamy and had a truffle taste which paired perfectly with the yams. The oxtails were a bit salty but overall they were very good (bussin), they were tender and savory! I also had a slice of lemon pound cake and let me tell you .....TOO GOOD!! It was moist and exactly what you want in a pound cake. I would definitely recommend Binky's Eatery if you're looking for good soul food in Atlanta, GA.

Yelp
0 Stars.. Food is gross, very Bland! Not worth the price.. Nothing is seasoned! Collard Greens are tough as a Brick and full of stems, Mac N cheese is Flavorless.. This food is way to expensive for none of it to be seasoned! And take the collard Greens off the menu, if you can't get them tender and seasoned properly! I wish I could get a full refund!!

Yelp
Tried this spot for the first time today. Ordered the fried fish. It was served on a bed of yellow rice and I selected Mac-n-cheese and mashed potatoes for my sides. Everything was so delicious and very, very well seasoned. The fish was a bit salty but I'm very salt sensitive. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back!

Yelp
If I could give less than one star I would. Arrived at Binky's at 12:52pm on Friday Aug. 11th. Tried to order seafood. I was told that the oil was being changed and to come back in 30 mins. We came back and was told by staff that they didn't know when and they weren't taking seafood orders. I expressed that I hung around in this seedy area for their seafood. We finally left at 2pm with no food and a promise again of fresh oil in another hour. I came from Jacksonville, FL to support. We were let down. Please do better Binky's.

Yelp
We got to the restaurant at 7p right when they were closing. They let us in and still allowed us to order! The oxtails and turkey wings melted in our mouths! Rice and gravy delish! Yams perfect and Mac and cheese just right! The food and service was and is amazing! Oh and let's not forget the dessert! Oreo red velvet and peach cobbler to die for! Please go check them out, you won't be disappointed! We will be back.
