"Opened across from the Five Points MARTA station in Five Points Plaza along Broad Street on April 7, this downtown spot is Bryant “Chef Baul” Williams’s new, mostly takeout restaurant and the first of two planned locations. Named for his father’s nickname, Williams describes the cooking as “southern soul” infused with flavors from Japan, the Caribbean, and throughout Europe; the menu features turkey wings and oxtails, a variety of seafood, smoked turkey collards, and his popular baked mac and cheese, with lemon pound cake and banana pudding for dessert. The operation will include a few seats for those who wish to dine in after receiving their order, and Williams and his wife Daniella plan to feed the unhoused community at least twice a month once the restaurant is up and running." - Beth McKibben
