The 10 Best Bagels In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Georgetown finally gets in on the fun with this charming shop. Most of their bagel varieties, schmears, and sandwiches are worth enduring the roars of aircraft flying overhead toward Sea-Tac. In particular, the rosemary salt bagel deserves some sort of yeast-based trophy for its delicate herbiness, and the honey-sriracha schmear has subtle heat. Don’t miss the beet-cured lox sandwich, either—it’s a study in silkiness and even better when paired with a sesame bagel." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo, gabe guarente

The Best Bagels in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"Following the success of their Bean’s Bagels pop-up, Marisa Figueroa and wife Miranda took the plunge earlier this year and opened Bloom Bistro & Grocery in Georgetown. Taking over the historic Carleton Avenue Grocery building, Bloom has already become a neighborhood hotspot thanks to the chewiest bagels in Seattle and a pantry selection that brings the space back to its mercantile roots. Bagel and schmear flavors rotate often, so check back frequently for the latest." - Eater Staff

Great little neighborhood spot in Georgetown! I had the rosemary sea salt bagel with spinach & artichoke schmear—super flavorful. (Didn’t know what "schmear" meant, but it’s basically cream cheese with optional flavors!) My husband enjoyed a classic breakfast bagel sandwich. Good service 👍 Simple Drop coffee was smooth and well-balanced. The space is bright and welcoming, with local art on the walls, small kids hanging out, and even a dog visitor. Cozy, friendly, and full of local charm.

Google
Amazing bagels that are easily some of the best in Seattle if not Washington. The service is friendly and the owners seem to really care about the neighborhood. The prices are reasonable for the quality and the coffee is good too. Overall great spot to grab a delicious lunch.

The rosemary bagel was delicious, would get again! Also the latte was great, and I appreciate the extra effort to get the foam right despite being covered in a to-go cup. It's the little things that speak volumes!

Best bagels in the Seattle area! Great coffee too! Tried the jalapeno, garlic onion, rosemary sea salt and everything bagels - they are all yummy. And the caramelized onion cream cheese is bomb! Breakfast sandwiches are also delicious 😋

Google
Just my favorite bagel shop in all of Seattle! The space itself is welcoming to all and Queer friendly - showcasing fabulous local artists on the wall. I love the mini grocery section (hello where else can you buy a quick roll of toilet paper for $1.50 when in need?!). And onto the bagels! They’re fresh, they’re delicious, and the prices won’t kill your wallet. I live in Tacoma but am in Seattle a few times a week and I try to always stop in.

Met some local friends here for breakfast on a Sunday & Tuesday, had the beet cured lox on rosemary sea salt with lemon thyme schmear both times 🤌🥯 The cold brew was smooth & bright. The staff and owner are so welcoming, just wonderful humans. Definitely get some bagels and carmelized onion schmear to go!

Where have you been all my life?! The bagels have a chewy crust, but they are soft/compress well enough so you don’t need to unhinge your jaw. The bagels have a nice bite and would work well with solid fillings like lox or tomatoes. I can see something like tuna/egg salad being a little messy but doable. You can order the bagels separately, with a spread, or in a sandwich. I LOVED the everything bagel could be toasted without the dried garlic seasoning turning into char. Seriously, it’s easier said than done (ahem Loxsmith). I swung by on a Saturday before noon. There were 6 other patrons inside. The process of lining up, ordering, leaving with my food took about 10minutes tops. Despite the quick transaction, it gave me plenty of time to look over the pantry staples and local goods for sale. There’s cute bench seating, a couple of tables for two, and a cute park a block away. Street parking only.

So happy to have this delightful bagel cafe and small-but-growing grocery mart in Georgetown (in the old Deep Sea Sugar and Salt cake bakery location). Plenty of seating and natural light. Service is friendly, kind, and helpful. Bagels are absolutely incredible; get there early before they sell out. What a gem!

Yelp
Hands down one of my favorite bagels in the area. The rosemary specifically is a delicious, savory bagel worth trying. The bagels here are a little more like a soft bready texture, but if you're in the mood for that kind of bagel you won't find a betterspot. The staff is friendly and service is pretty quick, especially considering that they often are working though a decent sized line. It's a total hipster vipe, with most of the shop dedicated to selling local artisan food products. If you're anywhere near here, I recommend making a detour to check it out.

Yelp
A little neighborhood cafe, spacious interior, friendly staff and delicious food. Popped in for a quick bite- hard to choose too since everything sounded good. I opted for the garlic onion bagel with honey siracha smear and added slice tomatoes (they have the goooood tomatoes). Bagel was super crispy but still soft, onion and garlic was crispy, tons and tons of smear that was just a touch spicy, tomatoes could use a smidge of salt but overall super delicious. Will 100% come back.

Yelp
I've been searching for a good east coast bagel in Seattle and I think I may have finally found something close. The bagels have the perfect amount of chew to it, but if ordering the sandwiches in store, best to ask them to toast it more or else it's tooo chewy to eat easily. Got a sesame and everything bagel this time but will be back to try more! Service was great! They also have a small amount of groceries and pantry items for sale. And they have coffee. Great one stop shop addition to the Georgetown area.

Yelp
Very fun to welcome Bloom to the neighborhood! I have been here twice. A standout was the rosemary sea salt bagel with plain cream cheese. Seems like they are still working out their operations so be patient! We experienced longer wait times (20+ min) and multiple drink orders getting messed up. They tend to be out of items so definitely come earlier in the day and be flexible.

Yelp
Tried a sesame bagel with tofu and vegan cheese. This was pretty good and would get this again. Some vegan cream cheese and pickled veggies on this would take this flavor up a notch. Need to try some other bagel flavors next time.

Yelp
first deep sea sugar and now bloom! in the blink of an eye people will notice a change but it brings something new to the neighborhood! this unassuming green two storey building seems to make any business that occupies it a WINNER! that's not to say it's all about the structure! the respective owners (past and present) clearly put forth huge effort and investment in their creativity, quality ingredients and hiring; you may not find cake at this cross street anymore (that's now a couple blocks further east on airport way) but the bagels and service six feet inside the door are top notch! on georgetown carnival morning i stopped in and managed to place my order just ahead of a rush. three plain bagels to go as well as their special sandwich of the day which i asked to include one substitution: i got zero kick back on swapping the bacon bits for portabellos and it was so beautiful when i went to eat it with the sprouts, ricotta and roasted beets!! i'm excited to try the other bagel flavors i purchased and to see how they hold up for a day or two wrapped in their paper bag. the revamped interior has 3-4 small tables and a shelf with additional items for sale including bagged coffee beans. there's a coffee menu and a very welcoming vibe. i can only wonder how long it'll be before lines will be back in front of the shopfront. my car was used to driving here for slices of layer cake and now it's not at all going to be disappointed to head in the same direction for bagels and beverages on the weekends!

Yelp
I'm so excited about Bloom Bistro opening!!! I got the rosemary sea salt bagel breakfast sandwich and it was out of this world. Prices seem great and I am so grateful for the grocery component of the store as well! The owner and staff were the kindest people and my meal was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back and try all the different flavors of bagels! It is also SO CUTE inside! Cannot recommend Bloom enough!! All my neighbors have tried it this morning and we are all hooked!

Yelp
This place was awesome! Recently opened but well established. Would definetly come again for some home made bagels! Staff was great and even remembered my name when I came up to ask for additional syrup for my coffee! Thanks for a great experience :)

Yelp
I'm not sure if this is a newly opened business, but it certainly felt like it. The bagels were good, but the breakfast sandwich I ordered was mediocre at best. I asked if they had ketchup for my breakfast Sammy, and they didn't have ketchup. Then I tried to pay with cash, and was told they didn't have enough cash in the till to break my bill (which was only a minor inconvenience). I ordered a drip coffee, which tasted incredibly watered down... Just not great experience all around...

Yelp
Stumbled across this hidden gem by accident and so glad I did! The pastrami mami is literal perfection, and the sea salt rosemary bagel is great too! Everyone was so friendly and kind, will definitely return again :)

Yelp
Great friendly servers, good selection of omnivore and vegetarian food in the middle of a food desert. They also sell groceries, including local shiitake mushrooms!

Yelp
Huge fan. Not a lot of bagel spots in Seattle, but this spot is probably my second favorite after Mt. Bagel in Cap Hill--IFKYK. Bagels are baked fresh every morning. My favorite sandwich is a simple egg and cheese bagel and it's perfect every time. Staff are always friendly and helpful!

Will M.

Yelp
That was probably the best bagel sandwich I've ever tasted. The sausage tasted like an authentic Italian meatball, the cheese went so well with the sandwich and the rosemary salt bagel was just salty enough to complement everything without adding any condiments. I would drive here from the opposite side of the city for their quality and their prices!

Alaina C.

Yelp
Cute spot. Wasn't sure what to think and got the Italian sandwich on rosemary; it was great! Super simple but great flavors and wasn't too heavy. Sat there for a while wondering if I should order another or at least a bagel to go, it was that good. Would suggest chips as a side, which they have a couple kinds. Staff were nice and friendly. Not very ventilated so, if you eat inside you will leave smelling very foody.

Yelp
Walking into Bloom is like getting a warm bagel hug-- The staff treat you like old friends. The vibe is cozy enough to spend hours just chilling (or munching). And their mini grocery corner-- local ice cream and hot sauce to slather on my BEC bagel? Yes, please! Hope to see them in the neighborhood for years to come!

Yelp
Such an inviting environment. As soon as I was walked in I was warmly greeted & ended up leaving with more than I planned. Everything was delicious and fresh! Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Absolutely the best bagels in the Pacific Northwest. Friendly service and some amazing things in the pastry case! Don't waste any time, get there now!

Brent T.

Yelp
So happy this place opened up! The bagels are sooo good, people are friendly, and the cafe is so cute! Definitely will be coming here frequently. I tried the sausage and egg, and the BLT. Both amazing!

Yelp
They're making the breakfast sandwich in Seattle, rosemary sea salt bagel (BEC). Good price too!

Liz M.

Yelp
Our neighborhood has been needing a bagel/coffee shop. We were not disappointed - delicious food, yummy coffee (full espresso options), and doubles as a bodega-style grocery store. Will be eating here many more times!

Kris M.

Yelp
Walking past their kitchen on the sidewalk I got a whiff of their dough in a mixing bowl near an open window. The strong sour yeasty smell told me I'd hit the jackpot. The bagel jackpot. This place is the real deal.

Ann A.

Yelp
I've been on the hunt for a good bagel for the past year and living in West Seattle. I've only found good bagels in the north end. Yesterday I was THRILLED to discover Bloom Bistro which is only 12 min from my house but tr bagels are DELICIOUS. There was a bagel contest apparently and out of 200 participants Bloom Bistro won 2nd place! Love the friendly, hard working staff & cozy cute funky interior. The whole vibe & awesome bagels = perfection. Highly recommend! Support local businesses!

Liz B.

Yelp
This place is amazing. You have to try the rosemary sea salt bagel but they're all good. The bagel sandwiches are delicious and they make a lot of stuff in house. Everyone there is very friendly and it's a cute spot (where Deep Sea Sugar and Salt used to be). I'll be a regular for sure.

Emily D.

Yelp
The quality of the food was fresh and it all tasted amazing! I got the BLT on rosemary sea salt and it was INCREDIBLE! The staff was warm and friendly too which I really appreciated. It made me feel like I wanted to hang out there and enjoy my treat. A great little neighborhood cafe!!
