A solid breakfast and a big scene at Buba Bureka - Review - New York - The Infatuation

"This city is always looking for another flaky pastry to lose its collective mind over. Whether it's croissants with french onion soup or baguettes made with laminated dough, there’s always something new you just “have to try.” The flavor of the week are the pastries at Buba Bureka, which is from the owners of Breads Bakery and Israeli chef-influencer Ben Siman Tov. The Greenwich Village counter service spot is a scene on the weekends. We don’t quite get the line, but the burekas are a totally solid weekday breakfast. photo credit: Will Hartman Seconds after your bureka leaves the oven, a chef dramatically chops it with a cleaver, with a sound that lights up the same part of your brain as watching chiropractors videos. Each flaky pastry is served with crushed tomato, tahini, vibrant schug, olives, pickles and jammy boiled eggs. It’s a good amount of food, if on the expensive side at $16. Eat your bureka quickly—the fine layers of dough start to wilt after a few minutes of steaming in their box. Food Rundown Cheese Our favorite of the four available flavors. The salty cheese is a great counter to the flaky pastry, and the best canvas for schug and creamy tahini. photo credit: Will Hartman Spinach Artichoke The most filling bureka, but also a little bit flat without the condiments. But then, are you enjoying the toppings, or the filling? Potato If you’re splitting your bureka with someone, get this one. The potato is cooked down until it’s jammy, but that does leave the bureka a bit saturated with oil. This one really benefits from lots of crushed tomato." - Will Hartman

New Restaurant Openings NYC: April 2025 | Eater NY

"Opened in April with the namesake Middle Eastern pastry as the star — burekas come in various savory fillings and are served with tahini, pickles, and a hard-boiled egg; the location is backed by Gadi Peleg (co-founder of Breads Bakery) with chef Ben Siman-Tov and Fritz Oleshansky from Breads Bakery." - Emma Orlow

Gay NYC Nightclub Chelsea’s Barracuda Lounge Is Closing | Eater NY

Are Buba’s Viral Burekas Worth the Wait?

"A tiny West Village burekas shop with celebrity fans and frequent early sellouts, the pastries are finished in the oven, cleaved into four wedges and packed into a small box with sauces, pickles, cracked olives and a halved, salt-sprinkled medium-boiled egg. The dark-baked, seed-topped crust is pleasantly puffed and crisp, giving way to tender fillings; the spinach-artichoke was the favorite for bright flavor, while the potato felt heartier but a bit bland. With limited indoor space that forces spillover onto the sidewalk, a short wait is reasonable and the $16 box makes for a solid meal without needing to arrive before opening." - Tammie Teclemariam

This spot is a must-try!!! Wow, the warm, fluffy, crispy, melt-in-your-mouth savory cheese pastries were incredibly delicious! Will be back to taste the other options. The service was friendly and warm. While waiting for the borekas (which wasn’t long, maybe 10 minutes), free samples were passed out. The atmosphere is pleasant, there was a lot of people there, I suppose for the obvious reason that their food is absolutely delicious. The air is swirling with the scent of these delectable pastries baking. Prepare yourself for a unique and delicious meal!

Had this spot saved forever and finally stopped by on a freezing Greenwich Village afternoon… only to realize they were closed 😭 BUT the absolute legend working there still hooked me up with a French onion soup bureka and a sauce to go. Truly, what a mensch! I sat outside on a bench eating this warm pastry and honestly couldn’t wait to get home just to finish it properly. The flavor was incredible—soft and pillowy on the inside, perfectly crispy on the outside. One bite and I knew I’d be back. Can’t wait to return when they’re open and order the full box. Moments like this are why I love New York.

Google
This was our last stop before heading back home to Miami. Let me keep it simple for you. It is most definitely worth the hype and every dollar. Go with a friend, order 4, split the bill, and have the best day after. Can’t wait for them to open in Miami.

Google
Such an awesome concept with traditional and innovative burekas. We tried the elite and loved it. Definitely want to go back and try a more traditional one! There are tall tables outside to eat which also have it a communal feel if you’re in a small group.

"Buba Bourka is an absolute must on your upcoming visit to New York! Beyond the fact that Ben the chef is incredibly nice, everything is unbelievably delicious — light, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. It’s the perfect spot to start your morning or grab an afternoon bite. Highly recommended!"

Google
Travel bites from NYC! 🗽🥐 Visiting from Florida and strolling through Greenwich Village, I popped into Buba Burekas to see what these little pastries were all about — and I’m so glad I did! The spinach artichoke bureka was out of this world — crispy, flaky, and full of flavor. The everything seasoning on top totally makes it! Loved the sides too — a briny olive, crunchy pickle, and jammy eggs sprinkled with salt flakes. The dips — tahini, crushed tomato, and schug — were the perfect finishing touch. (Yes, I bought a jar of that schug to take home! 🌶️❤️)

Google
What an amazing place to enjoy a late breakfast! Burekas has always been one of my favorite things to eat and I am so grateful to Ben for bringing this Israeli dish to NYC where I have been on the HUNT for a truly delicious burekas. Dorm Ben’s presence as we ate our food to the amazing staff and customers, I felt right at home. Thank you!! PS. try the tomato soup with the burekas

Denise F.

Google
Such a unique flaky dough! Tried all four varieties and loved them all. The accoutrements of pickles, eggs, olives, plus dipping sauces elevated the already wonderfully crunchy barekas. Tried the lemonade and cold brew coffee too. Nicest staff too. Will definitely go back when we are in town. Go before everyone else finds this gem.

Yelp
Woke up at 7 am to make sure I tried these burekas!! We went around 9:30 am when the shop just opened, and I could see they already were making tons of fresh burekas of all flavors. The concept of this shop is so cute and cozy, each bureka comes with a box filled with a hard boiled egg, pickles, olives and sauces. We tried the spinach artichoke and the roasted carrot. Both were so buttery and flakey, exactly what we wanted from a bureka. The roasted carrot was such a unique experience, it tasted exactly like a Thanksgiving dish. The seating is exclusive to outside but we were lucky to snag a standing table inside. Portions are also pretty big, deff can share if you're not too hungry!

Yelp
I'd been wanting to try this spot for a while , it's still fairly new and I knew the influencer scene was making it making it jam packed with long lines. I had some time this morning so I decided to check it out. I'm not an early breakfast person but when I saw the shop was empty I convinced my stomach it was time to eat. The 2 gentleman on staff recommended the cheese bureka as it was my first time. I'd only ever had bureka once before at my friend's home and it was a very long time ago but I remember it was delicious. His mom was visiting and prepared some , I was lucky to be able to partake in her traditional foods . Ok, back on track now. The shop is small with 2 standing counter tables inside and 2 picnic style table/benches outside. So take out would be the best option on a busy day. I stayed inside because it was cold out. The bureaka comes with a boiled egg, 3 sauces/dips ,pickles and green olives. The green sauce is schug ( quite possibly the best I've ever had ) then there's freshly grated tomato and the 3rd is tahini. The bureka is made when you order so it's fresh, hot and flakey. I really enjoyed every last crumb. I can't see myself self getting this for take out , I feel like it's best enjoyed hot on the spot. (Personal choice) The warm cheesey filling was so comforting especially on a cold day. I envied all the families that have had this treat homemade whenever they wanted. I left feeling very satisfied . Next time I'll have the spinach artichoke and then the roasted carrots. I'll also beg to buy some extra schug- perhaps a gallon lol. It was amazing.

Yelp
I'd definitely recommend trying Buba Bureka! Burekas are savory pastries, and this spot came highly recommended. Two friends and I visited around 1 p.m. on a Saturday and were happy to find that there were only a few people in line and all the flavors were available. We'd heard the best things about the spinach artichoke and potato burekas ($18 each), so we decided to split those two and order more if we were still hungry. After placing our order, we managed to grab one of the few "seating" spots (an outdoor small bench with a table rest and a standing table). The burekas came out hot about 5-10 minutes later, cut into four pieces each and served with pickles, olives, three sauces (schug, tahini, and tomato amba), plus two halves of an egg sprinkled with flaky salt. I really appreciated all the accompaniments -- they made it feel more like a rounded meal . My favorite sauces were the schug, which had great flavor with a little kick to it, and the tahini. The tomato one was a bit watery. I expected the spinach artichoke to be my favorite bureka, but the potato one actually ended up winning that spot by a narrow margin. The spinach artichoke was tasty but the flavor of the spinach and artichoke filling was milder than I'm used to. I believe the potato filling came with subtle caramelized onions, which was a nice touch. The pastries were perfectly flaky -- hearty, yet still light. I just wished there was a bit more filling since the edges were mostly pastry. I enjoyed the filled bites plain and used the sauces for the outer, flakier parts. We also had the chance to meet the lovely owner, Ben Simon Tov, who kindly treated us to their new sweet bureka -- a brown butter sweet corn custard with blackberry compote ($7). It was smaller but delicious! Again, I liked eating the center with the custard plain and dipping the edges into the compote. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. I'd say if you're hungry or coming for a full meal, it would be best to get your own. If you're coming for a lighter breakfast or snack, then sharing works well! While I probably won't come back often since I tend to eat on the healthier side, Buba Bureka is absolutely worth trying at least once. I'd consider coming back to try different seasonal flavors!

Yelp
Absolutely loved the food. The spinach artichoke bureka was very yummy. The boxes are a bit pricy but definitely worth it. What would make it even better is if the egg is soft boiled and warm. I loved the sauces. Wish the olives didn't seem old. Would highly recommend

Yelp
This burekas place is UNREAL! I loved the breakfast box and how it came with hard boiled eggs, burekas, tahini, cucumbers and pickles, and a tomato dip which is my favorite, just like my safta makes it. It was 12/10!!!!! The owner is so nice and friendly- I love supporting locally owned small businesses and good people. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
Got to meet the owner on our food tour earlier this month. Funny and kind guy who runs such a unique eatery. Haven't had anything like this in my life and so glad we got to stop here on the tour. I'm not sure this would be something I'd normally stop for on my own, and now I can't wait to come back. So glad we got to learn about this awesome spot! We enjoyed our food and all the toppings and sauces that came with it. Highly recommend if you're in the area. If the smell of all the tasty food or the line out the door doesn't convince you please listen to this review and try for yourself!

Yelp
Ever since I first saw the alluring red boxes of Buba Bureka grace my TikTok, I was craving to try. It was a sunny, hazy late summer morning in the West Village on that lucky, fateful day. A weekday, and there was no line. Once I ordered, a 10ish min wait, and I finally had the iconic red box in my hands -- a piping hot, fresh bureka and all the fixins. Ate it standing at the bar table outside. Dammnnnnn so delicious!! Life is full of disappointments, but Buba Bureka did not disappoint! The pastry was savory and crispy, the spinach artichoke filling flavorful and creamy. The piquant, sour, rich, bright, spicy, vibrant flavors of jammy egg, pickles, olives, schug, tahini, grated tomato, provided perfect contrast. My favorite bite was the juicy fresh tomato with the salty savory bureka. Such a great Israeli-style breakfast.

Yelp
Wow!! I am totally amazed by the quality of the product and how unlike this food choice is from anything else in NYC. These flakey bagel/croissant hybrids are absolutely to die for and are stuffed with all kinds of things. A little pricey but that's because you're getting a crazy fresh and specific product. They also put a whole egg on the plate. That alone costs them $1-2 in food costs. Anyways, don't miss this spot. They are only open for breakfast & early lunch so beware of their hours. Lovely service Nd ambience. 5/5. We'll be back SOON!!
google avatar

Elana B.

Yelp
Friendly service, clean store, and the best burekas I've ever had! It was cold out so I ordered the soup as a side, and it was delicious. I've seen a couple reviews about there not being enough filling, but from my experience baking, if these were filled much more they would become sloppy: fork and knife needed. I think these are perfect and like that they are truly a hand held pastry. Arrived around 9:30 on a Sunday morning and there wasn't a line. Win win!

Yelp
Long stroll around Washington Square, SoHo and the Village with a friend, I knew we were near Buba (and Salt Hanks). I knew I had a better chance that my friend would want to share at Buba so we went there first. No line at lunchtime, after Labor Day?! Lucky timing for us. We had the potato bureka and enjoyed every bite, including all the extras (egg, olives, pickles, schug, crushed tomatoes). $18 Had a nice chat with one of the partners (sorry don't know name, without beard) ... I was the customer who asked if they would consider offering 2 flavors in one order (half and half). I definitely want to come back to try the cheese, corn and artichoke, but need another friend open to sharing. Delish, thank you! Hope you expand to other locations in the future. Finally, be on the lookout for their upcoming cookbook. Mazel tov!

Yelp
Buba Bureka has officially stolen my breakfast-loving heart. Tucked away in the neighborhood, this cozy spot serves the flakiest, most flavorful burekas I've had. We tried the spinach/artichoke and corn flavors--both were packed with savory fillings and wrapped in golden, crispy pastry that melts in your mouth. Each bureka comes with perfectly boiled eggs and a side of tomato sauce that balances the richness so well. Not only is the food delicious, but it's also a surprisingly wholesome and satisfying breakfast. The portions are generous without feeling heavy, and everything tastes homemade in the best way. The vibe is casual and warm, and the staff is super friendly. It's the kind of place you'll find yourself craving again the next morning. 10/10 recommend if you're looking for a comforting and unique breakfast/lunch spot!

Yelp
A very good burekas ! We got the cheese burekas and enjoyed them very bite of it . It was crispy and rich and came with all the right sides (tahini , schug, olives etc) Really reminded us home ! Very recommended
google avatar

Raquel A.

Yelp
Buba bureka is as authentic as israel. The service is not good and there is no ambiance or seating, yet we keep coming back. Lines up the street 2 tables to stand and eat and almost $20 per bureka! But the ingredients are quality and its worth the hype.
google avatar

Adi M.

Yelp
Feels like home!! Lovely little spot with the crispiest borekas you can find. I took the spinach and artichoke which was really really good. Honestly don't like a regular cheese borekas since gvinat bulgarit is too salty and the texture is off putting when hot. The little bit of cheese in the spinach artichoke was really well balanced and the buttery and flaky phyllo was perfection. The olives brought me back to the shuk and the tomato and schug were such a good compliment. The schug while not spicy had a fresh and herbaceous flavor that was really well done. Would love to come back and try some more. Thank you!!!

Yelp
Huge fan of Breads Bakery's potato bureka, so when I heard that the Breads Bakery owner was a part owner here, I knew I needed to come check it out! I'm a huge fan of burekas and this one did not disappoint! I got the potato, and filling came out warm and the dough perfectly flaky! I also like how they provide 3 different sauces to eat alongside your bureka, and some pickles, olives, and hard boiled egg. It's definitely a great breakfast for one, or two!
google avatar

Minique D.

Yelp
Was happy to come on a day when there was no line. The staff was attentive and I have to say the Bureka was pretty solid. I asked for a hard boiled egg instead of the Jammy egg and they complied. It's a place to pop in if you're in the area.
google avatar

Vivian L.

Yelp
Came in the morning to grab it on route to my commute to my office. Clean interior with friendly service. There are a couple options of bureka and it came with pickles and a pretty perfect egg. It's a nice option to eat as a snack and or lunch. You can ask for it warmed up or east room temperature which was still good.
google avatar

Elana C.

Yelp
Loved the burekas! We got spinach and artichoke and a potato one. Only putting 4 stars because our burekas didn't have enough filling. The middle pieces were great but the end slices were mostly just empty flaky pastry. It makes it difficult to split between multiple people too since not everyone would get a good taste of the filling.
google avatar

Alan S.

Yelp
First off, the burekas are 5 stars. I'll get to my issues in a minute. I love all the varieties of products across the borek belt - from Tunisian briq (which I'll be eating in sunny Sidi Bou Said in a few weeks) to the gül böreği that I pick up from Simit Sarayı as soon as I land at IST, I love all things borek. The Levantine boureka is expertly executed here - with a dab of tahini, it is honestly ethereal. My gripe? They need to limit the number of bourekas per order given the amount of hype here, or prioritize small orders like Apollo Bagels does to manage their line. I was stuck behind a very inconsiderate customer (you know who you are Natalie) who ordered 10 borek plates at a busy time of the morning breakfast rush. They're still selling out early, so these types of orders should be limited in some way by the store.
google avatar

Joyce L.

Yelp
First time having a bureka, and it did not disappoint! Yummy flakey goodness. I do wish the sauces had a little bit more kick or punch in flavor. But overall, it's a good well-made pastry!
google avatar

Faith G.

Yelp
Delicious! Tastes like buttery heaven. Waits are very long on the weekends but worth it.

Yelp
We are on another fun eating trip through NYC & had to try Buba. I make burekas all the time so was curious to compare. I ordered a cheese bureka and received a box loaded with a very large bureka, & side goodies like pickles, olives, tahini, & a tomato sauce. The bureka was loaded with cheese, wrapped in layers of phyllo, & topped with sesame seeds. It was very tasty & a good quick meal to eat on the go. Although it was great, the $16 cost seemed a bit high. However the place was packed with customers so price is not an objection, lol.
google avatar

Hannah H.

Yelp
Buba Bureka is brought to you by Chef Siman-Tov )aka, BenGingi, from Breads Bakery), which is a breakfast-lunch takeout counter that had just opened up (currently in its soft opening stage) in Greenwich Village. All burekas are served with pickles, crushed tomatoes, and a jammy egg (my favorite!). We tried: +the potato bureka +the spinach artichoke bureka +and, the sweet corn bureka You can also add olives and/or crunch veggies with tahini as a side. Even though there was a line, the staff were pretty efficient and kept the line moving; they were friendly, too! A nice little snack to have. +burekas +friendly service
google avatar

Secil A.

Yelp
Very expensive. Each bureka is $16 and service is pretty slow as wells It feels like they're trying a pop up type of business model but I'm not sure it's working. The burekas are fine, you can find similar/better ones from other places in the city.
google avatar

Tsvika K.

Yelp
The hype is right . Obviously fantastic classic cheese burekas but You got to try the spinach/artichoke one , combination is excellent. The tray with the extras is phenomenal , specifically the Schug and the Tehini - all fresh made . Weather is great , go grab and eat at Washington sq Park . Highly recommended!!!! Definitely a Destination!!!!
google avatar

Meredith S.

Yelp
I haven't tried a lot of popular Israeli food so this was my first time having a boureka. The service was great. Very quick and efficient given the demand. We ordered the spinach artichoke boureka and I ate every little bite. Perfectly cooked with the right temp and crispiness when served. The tomato crush and tahini sauces were delicious and a nice contrast. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the lack of seating. There is no seating inside and just 2 tables outside where you have to stand and eat. I'm sure it's part of the allure (they usually sell out before noon) and experience but it wasn't comfortable to stand and eat.
google avatar

Yelp
Saw a bunch of people walking down Bleecker with the boxes, so I stopped in and grabbed my own box. Great-tasting, filling, nutritiously dense breakfast item at a reasonable price ($18.50 after tax).
google avatar

Yelp
Greasy food served with an attitude. My friend and I tried different types of burek and we both felt it was heavy, oily and overpriced.

Yelp
Stopped in after seeing the hype online.. never had a Bureka but the flakey crust and accompinients looked too good to pass up! I was expecting a long line as I saw that they often close early and sell out but to my surprise, early in a Saturday morning, myself and two other people were the first customers after 8am. The small location is accessible from w 4th street and Washington square subway, with room for a few people to stand inside and order.. there is not any seating, they just have two high tops outside for standing. I decided to go with potato and took a walk to Washington square park to enjoy. The Bureka was flakey, hot, somewhat crispy, with oozey potato filling. They serve with a hard boiled egg which is cooked to perfection in my opinion, with olives, pickles, and a tomato like paste and tahini I believe. The Bureka was pretty good and flavorful.. although some pieces had a strong taste- maybe a bit burnt on the bottom. I would definitely recommend checking out, it was a great first experience for me.

J A.

Yelp
Been here multiple times and it's always excellent. This time we tried the seasonal carrot version. They also had an everything bagel and lox flavour for $25. The carrot version we tried has a nice mild creamy filling and delish garlicky sauce. Only complaint... wish this one came with a bit more sauce. No frills commercial environment (burekas heated up in pizza ovens right out front) and the food is always packed well to go. A bit on the pricey side but the burekas and coffee are always excellent.

Yelp
I shared an iG video with a coworker (who also enjoys foodie options) and he went there on a day after work and discovered they close around 12pm. He made a second attempt yesterday, called me and read off the choices. I selected the spinach and artichoke Burrek and he chose cheese. I didn't have the chance to eat mine fresh, as he delivered it to me some time later and I was preoccupied with work. I reheated half of the burek and ate half a perfectly done egg. I found the spinach and artichoke burek with the 3 accompanying sauces absolutely delicious. Even later, reheated the other half and just delighted at the flavors. My coworker did not find that his choice (cheese) was anything special and also stated he thought the price was a bit high and the egg, pickle and olives were unnecessary.
google avatar

Evelyn H.

Yelp
I'd call this a one and done. Went at 1:30 on a Thursday and there was no line. Ordered the Corn Bureka. It was fine and I'm glad to have tried it, but the corn didn't have much flavor. I did enjoy the green sauce and the portion size is big (I'd say this is a full meal rather than a snack). Overall, with all the foods available in NYC there are a bunch of other things I'd rather eat and wouldn't suggest waiting in line to try these.

Robin M.

Yelp
Burekas are delicious. We had a spinach artichoke one and split it. Box comes with pickles, olives, hard boiled egg, and 3 sauces. Plenty of food. Only downside (not worth dinging them) is that it's really only take out with a bench and 2 stand up tables outside.
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
Solid borek but not loving the appropriation of a Turkish dish. Wish the restaurant was owned by a Turkish owner. I'd probably prefer to go to an actual Turkish restaurant in the future when I'm craving borek.
google avatar

Kim G.

Yelp
There was a big crowd but the line went fast and the service was friendly. I got the spinach artichoke bureka which was delish. I wish they had more outside seating but there are park benches close by.
google avatar

Neil Z.

Yelp
A friend told me I had to try this place while in NYC and she was absolutely right -- it was amazing! I had never had a bureka before, though I was familiar with the general idea from Greek cooking. This was truly exceptional and delicious. Flaky pastry, just the right amount of filling (I had the spinach & artichoke, and next time I want to try the cheese), the sauces were a perfect accompaniment, and the pickles, olives, and hard boiled egg rounded out the meal. For $16 in NY, it was a steal. In fact, one order could make a light lunch for two... though I must confess, I devoured the whole thing pretty quickly, lol (see photo)... It was a really special and satisfying experience... and I'm a professional private chef, so I can be, shall we say, a little particular about my food. This place scored high all around. Oh, and the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming. Don't miss it!
google avatar

Ronit J.

Yelp
Went on Sunday around 12 pm they was out of burkas , the one we got was the spinach it was ok I'll give it 5 out of ten. It was not worth $17.0 dollars. No place To seat it's all take out.

Eden M.

Yelp
Definitely recommend this place! They close at 2:30, but they stayed late just to make me a full lunch -- absolutely insane. Amazing service and seriously above and beyond. Can't recommend it enough!

Yelp
Legit good burek. Staff super friendly. Came in while they were closing and they still served me. Def check them out.

Yelp
Amazing food amazing vibe in one of my favorite locations in New York City. Very cheap for the quality and taste. I think this is likely one of the only places in NYC that focuses solely on the bureka. The owners were serving burekas themselves, flanked by friendly and helpful staff. Love the uniforms too. I'll be coming back at least once a week. Also the coffee is delicious.

Yelp

Yelp
Incredible food and service. Would highly recommend stopping by for brunch and/or lunch. Definitely make sure to get the side of veggies to dip into the tahini and zhug.

Yelp
Amazing experience at Buba!! We got all four flavors and loved them all. The dough is so flaky and fresh. The fillings are simple and delicious and the sides are 10/10. I live on the west coast and dream of this opening in LA!! The staff are so friendly-- get there early because they sell out quick. Worth the wait in line though!!

Yelp
Worth a special trip. I am trying to reroute everything so I pass by Bleeker Street and can get a bureka! Buba Burkeas are delicious - love the spinach and potato especially. Last weekend I ordered some for a brunch - the order was ready for pick up on time and my guests at home loved every last bite. (Of course I had to order an extra one so I could eat it on the way home.) Love the extras it comes with - great meal. And super friendly, fun staff. Yum, yum, yum.

Yelp
I was visiting family in NYC, and we found this adorable place, super friendly, and easy going staff. I wish Boston had a place like this! the perfect breakfast combo - flaky bureka with delicious fillings. I loved the spinach and artichoke one. my boys liked the potato filling. the olives, pickles and extras are the ideal addition. Get there early, because they run out!

Yelp
Revolting. Don't Walk--Run Away from This Place. This was hands down one of the most vile food experiences I've ever had. The burekas were a disgrace--oily on the outside, raw and cold on the inside, like they were microwaved straight from a 7-month-old freezer stash. I wouldn't feed this to a stray dog. The shop itself? Filthy. Tables sticky, crumbs everywhere, and a smell that made me question every life choice that led me there. The staff acted like they hated being alive, and somehow hated the customers even more. I got eye-rolls for asking a basic question and my order was wrong on top of everything. I genuinely don't understand how this place has customers unless they're all lost, drunk, or have completely given up on having taste buds. If this was my first experience with burekas, I'd assume they were invented as a punishment.

Yelp
Nutritious, delicious and affordable. What more can you ask for? All of the flavors are special in their own way, though the cheese is my current favorite. It's a fun vibe too, in a lively neighborhood!
