Find an Espresso Bar and Aperitivo Hour at the New Jon & Vinny’s in Beverly Hills - Eater LA

"Sherman Oaks’s Buvette flipped into a sparkling wine-focused spot with a new tinned fish and charcuterie menu last week. Expect an expansive bubbly selection (with over 40 bottles of sparkling, rosé, and Champagne) and the option for a choose-your-own-adventure flight curated by co-owner and sommelier Rebecca Phillips, who also co-owns Vintage Wine + Eats in Studio City." - Jean Trinh

These Paris Restaurants Prove That There's Something New-School In an Old-School City | Bon Appétit

"A tiny, DIY-distressed natural-wine bar run by Camille Fourmont that has converted many drinkers to noncommercial wines; though it lacks a kitchen, the operator assembles unforgettable plates from the best raw, cured, fermented, and jarred ingredients, and even a single bean on a toothpick can rank among the best bites of your trip. Expect a chill regular crowd, a zinc bar, and occasional waits to snag a seat." - ByChristine Muhlke

Google
Jessie was absolutely outstanding. His knowledge of wine, pairings, and overall hospitality made the evening effortless. I really appreciated being able to focus on our amazing conversation while Jessie handled everything so seamlessly. Every glass was perfectly timed and complemented the moment without us even having to think. That level of attention and care is rare and deserves recognition. Thank you again, Jessie, for making our night so memorable!

Google
Really cute spot, mini booths and several bar stools. I think I found my favorite wine here. Be patient with the staff as they are hustling to make it all work and hire new people after the pandemic lockdown ended. The manager was incredibly nice. The music was on point and the food was fresh and delicious! A small intimate place for a cute date night or ladies night! They have a great little happy hour menu with food and a couple wines, so make sure to check their Instagram for that information.

Wine was ok. Nice little first date or post dinner spot.

Google
Phenomenal service! Only one person was working the entire bar and she did a fantastic job. When I first saw how busy it was and it was only her I was a little worried but she was extremely attentive and managed the crowd all with an amazing attitude (and I’m sure a smile but masks were worn) The charcuterie board was also extremely delicious and wine was good. Really good atmosphere with their outdoor seating

Ok. I am a wine lover. We met Rebecca over the Pandemic as she hosted a zoom wine school. So fun, amazing and informative. This wine bar is cute, quaint, carries unique wines and has Rebecca! It’s the spot!

Google
Attended a private Sherman Oaks/Encino Chamber of Commerce mixer. It was a good experience. There was a unique selection of wines. I was pleased to find Chenin Blanc by the glass—all adequately priced. Light bites were served. I enjoyed the sampling of offerings—definitely meticulously curated for quality and flavor. Customer service and decor were both consistent with their branding and neighborhood values/expectations. Parking at 6pm was free on metered section of Ventura boulevard. Normally, there is a weekday happy hour. The business owner/manager shared there is a book club on Sundays and a wine class. It’s an intimate yet sophisticated environment. Very close to the Galleria. I will return to check out the book clubz Each patron brings their own books and reads independently for an hour; then, each patron sparks up a conversation and shared with others. I can imagine the stimulating conversations that take place.

Google
Quaint little place, with a nice ambiance. Can get a little chilly even inside because of the open concept at the front, so bring something warm to wear if needed. Jesse with his friendly nature and his expertise as a sommelier made a good experience a great experience!

Go right ➡️ into Buvette! Hidden gem with a European vibe. Great wine selection plus select beer and cocktail options. Our neighborhood spot.

Yelp
Buvette is a fantastic wine bar. It's a tiny place tucked between another restaurant and a salon. The owners were there pouring on a Friday night. The pride in ownership shows in the welcoming way they treat the customers. I'd never been there before but I felt like a regular. They gave me a table even though I was solo. I needed to be in and out and when I said I wished I could just have a half glass of champagne, they gave it to me and charged me accordingly. That is the sort of service that elevates a tiny shop to boutique status. It's hard to mess up tin fish, but the baguette was memorable. I really enjoyed my time there. I'll be back with friends.

Yelp
We visited Buvette on a Friday evening, just five minutes before 7 PM, and were warmly greeted and informed that we still had time to catch their happy hour--something we immensely appreciated. We chose some sparkling wine, an espresso martini, and white wine from the happy hour menu and found a cozy spot near the bar. The service was not only super friendly but also added to the fantastic experience. The atmosphere is incredible--dim lighting, cozy seating, and a welcoming crowd make this a perfect neighborhood wine bar. Highly recommended for a relaxed and enjoyable evening!

Yelp
LOVE Buvette. The wine selection is vast and the bartenders/wine enthusiasts are extremely knowledgeable. They will help find the optimal varietal for your desired interest. The menu is also super good, but is limited. Adorable little booths on the side with a few bar seats and a couple tables outside. We love bringing our dog and sitting on the patio. The decor is super cute. This location is very small, maybe 30ish ppl max? Perfect for a date night, drink and apps, or dinner. Happy Hour is great and the wines on it aren't just low shelf like a lot of places do, they're always rotating which is fun. Cheese boards are always great. The staff is always so incredibly kind.

Yelp
This is the cutest little wine bar! I went with two friends, and I would not recommend going with more than 2. They did have seating, but it's definitely an intimate setting. The bartender was extremely helpful, and let me try 3 different wines before settling on a glass. I really appreciated the care taken! Overall, I can't wait to return and try more.

Yelp
A wonderful spot that's within walking distance of my home. I love the addition of their grilled cheese sandwiches to the menu. The service is always friendly and I love how small and cozy they've made this bar. I haven't visited on the first Sunday of the month personally, but I've always wanted to, as that's their book club. The recommendation is to bring a book and read in silence with some good wine. Can't think of a better way to spend my time.

Yelp
Been scooting pass this 'lil sliver of a bar for years shuffling over to Tipsy Cow in the early afternoon as it is boarded up closed until 4pm. Little did I know this piece of Jenga in between the Cow and Toast is a cozy place of R&R with great wine picks, small selection of good beer, pristine cocktails as well as great small bites (tinned fish ftw) and even better [bar] tenders. Very welcoming, knowledgeable staff. Must try.

Yelp
This is walking distance from my house, so I walked in there for the first time last night. The ambience was super cute. Very quaint small the wine selection is good thee Bartender was super knowledgeable. Loves wine clearly from what I saw lol. Was super helpful in my decision-making. I'm looking forward to going to their sister location out in Studio City. This is definitely a fun girls night or Date Night .

Yelp
Average at best. Seating wasn't the most comfortable although the place is small, quiet and quaint. Sparking wine and espresso martinis were good but the size of the martini was really small considering the price of it. The food was forgettable. Service okay. Parked at a meter right nearby. Free parking after 8PM.

Yelp
Super cute little wine bar! We ordered a bottle which was very reasonable pricing. There's a couple cute booths and seats at the bar which is first come first serve. Awesome for a little date night!

Yelp
Don't miss this amazing gem hiding in plain sight on Ventura Blvd! This wine bar is your next happy hour or late night stop. My husband surprised me with our first visit, and upon first glance, I thought we were strolling up to the Tipsy Cow. When we deviated to the entrance of Buvette, I was surprised by an understated front door but immediately delighted with a beautiful interior. We sat at the bar, but the booths were gorgeous and intimate. My husband got the Granacha and I got the Moschofilero - both were delicious and easy-drinking. There are specific wines on the happy hour menu, so be sure to ask. And although not on the physical HH menu, the QR code on the back revealed an online HH menu with the "Adult Lunchable". Between the free bar mix (corn nuts, crunchy chickpeas and Lima beans??), and the Lunchable, it was a perfect amount of food between the two of us to keep it light but to feel satiated. Sam was behind the bar when we were there and she was so nice! We can't wait to come back to this beautiful bar and try more from their specially curated list of wines! TIPS: Street parking only. If you really love wine and wanna get your fill outside of your typical wine choices, consider signing up for their Wine Club!

Yelp
Always looking for good wine bars in the valley, we visited Buvette yesterday and it was such a cute find. Very cozy and small, interesting options for wines and lights appetizers, they have a small patio area and a bar top, will definitely be back!

Yelp
Charming little spot with a good selection of wine. The sommeliers are friendly and knowledgeable. Great place for a date or just to have an easy night out with friends.

Yelp
Super cute wine bar! They had a great selection of champagne, rose, whites, and reds. The service was great and the ambiance is really cozy and well done :) My only complaint was that the happy menu was limited and pricing wasn't much less than the regular menu. My gf and I never make it out to happy hour because we both have young kids so we were super excited to get out early for once but the happy hour was basically the same price as a regular glass at most restaurants.

Yelp
Classic and cute interior. Chill ambiance. Great olace to deink wine) cocktails and have a conversation. Very nice wine list. They have a monthly membership for 2 bottles of wine each month. Tried the Amexicillin drink, got buzzed, great. This place is already great, lets make it greater.

Yelp
My friend turned 40 and we decided the throw her a "Where's Waldo" 40th birthday crawl with intentions of us all dressing as Waldo and hopping from place to place down Ventura Blvd, seeing what we could get into. Buvette was the first place of the night and I'm SO GLAD we made a stop here. This place is small but mighty. A nice wine and cocktail list only (get your beer next door), small booth seating on the inside and a small intimate patio outside. It's a nice place for lovers, no doubt, but our group made it a little rowdy for the evening. That's ok. Everyone had good laughs staring at us dressed alike. We bought a bottle of French wine to toast the birthday girl (this one was very good! Lightly sweet with citrus notes, extremely refreshing), and the bartender was such a help to us the time we were there! He pulled out glasses for everyone to toast, he was our photographer and our cheerleader. Thank you! I want to come back on a date. I'll be back.

Yelp
Came here to catch up with a friend - tried their daily rosé and adult lunchable. Both were delish! We are definitely coming back!

Yelp
I love this place! Such a great vibe and I love the wine selection. They don't sell full meals, but they have charcuterie plates that are satisfying.

Yelp
Charming wine bar with a little outdoor patio. Didn't try the food but it looked good.

Rida H.

Yelp
this wine bar is tucked away on Ventura in between Toast Cafe and the Tipsy Cow. Though it's a small place, don't let the square footage deter you--they have an extensive selection of wines and a cozy ambiance which makes it the perfect scene for a weekday happy hour or a weekend drink/or date. My boyfriend and I tried a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and an old fashioned and both were delish. I'll def return for more

Mapoosi A.

Yelp
Waitress poured the selected wine into a small carafe that wasn't cleaned out. It still had a different wine in it. Also pouring skills needs a lot of improvement. It gives me the ick that a wine bar has employees that can't pour wine properly. The restaurant itself is cute and small. I personally will not return. It was an okay experience. It was the pouring of the wine that did it for me.

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous hole-in-the-wall style wine bar. I came here for a first date and was a little overwhelmed by how busy it was at 8 PM on a Friday evening- heads up it's first come first serve table seating and full bar seats, and Friday is busy! Luckily I was able to snag a table right after it was bussed and was very pleased with the ambiance, everyone seemed in good spirits and the serving staff was very kind. This review is really for Sam! Sam was working behind the bar this evening and she did not disappoint. She was very accommodating with wine tasting and recommendations. My date and I were the last people in the bar upon closing at 11 and Sam was gracious enough to not kick us out! We left happily at 11:30 PM- I will definitely back for the experience!!! Thanks Sam!

Yelp
A friend and I were on a Ventura Blvd weeknight walk and I said that I wanted to try this wine bar that I've heard about. So we walked down towards Sepulveda and came across an almost full house when we arrived. There were a few seats left at the front window with open shutters. So cute, and charming, great vibe and is somewhat quiet (except for the loud cars and motorcycles on Ventura, but that's to be expected). We quickly ordered 2 glasses of the Cabernet Sauvignon without really reading through the menu. SO GOOD! A perfect glass of wine for the end of the day. I look forward to going back to really look at the wine list, but I'd have that same glass of Cab for sure! The wine bar is very small, but so, so charming!

Yelp
I had passed this place a few weeks ago and decided to give it a try on 9/3 (Labor Day weekend). We arrived around 8 pm and only one of the booths was taken. We ordered one white one, one red, and one rose and the meat & plate board (charcuterie). Atmosphere + service: The lovely girl who served us was helpful and sweet. I love the atmosphere as it's very cozy except all the loud street noise. It has cute little booths and it's perfect to sit and talk for a few hours. Food + drinks: Aside from the cheese & meat plates, they don't have much else except almonds and olives so don't come here hungry! I'm not the biggest wine person but I enjoyed the wine that was suggested. The charcuterie board on the other hand, had very very small pieces of 3 kinds of cheese and a few pieces of 3 kinds of meat. There was also honey, some bread and some other small things (pickles, nuts, etc). It also didn't have the greatest presentation aside from a few small flowers. The honey was on the board itself rather than a small jar which I didn't appreciate. Price: I paid around $80 with tax for 3 wine glasses and a charcuterie board. I don't think the charcuterie board was worth $36 at all. Can definitely be made at home with less than $10 considering how small the portion of each item was. To be honest, I'm not sure if I'd return... I absolutely love the vibe of this place though..

Yelp
A cute and intimate wine bar for pre-dinner drinks or after dinner drinks. We love coming here for happy hour. Food selection is limited, more like snacks so it's a literal wine bar. Love the 2 seater booths on the side. A nice place to stop by for date night, definitely not a great place for a big group.

Yelp
We went to Buvette for the first time for a Valor tequila event. The location is very welcoming and comfortable. The drinks and service were superb. I'm so glad we were introduced to Buvette- we'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Our first time here and it was lovely. Small and cozy wine bar with great wine selections. The wine was good and the service was great too. We will be back. Thank you Collin for the great customer service.

Yelp
Interesting wines, but more interesting than great. Nice place though. Good local spot with quick service. It'll do/

Yelp
Such a good place it's next to a popular bar. But the amazing part is that you can order food from tipsy cow and they will bring to Buvette. The atmosphere is clean, classy but still casual

Yelp
Best wine bar by far between Sherman Oaks and North Hollywood. I've been going here for a year now, and the place does not disappoint. Sam is wonderful and a light! You should be so luck to go on a night when she is working.

Eric W.

Yelp
Great wine bar with some cocktails. Small, casual, but fun vibe. Nice selection of wines, some very different with sparkling, pink and orange selections as well. Knowledgeable bartender and solid small bites. Just really comfortable and relaxing for an early pre-dinner drink, happy hour or a nightcap.

Yelp
This is a really cute place. If you're fortunate to be there when Emily is running things, you're in for a real treat because she is the epitome of customer service - friendly yet professional, informative and attentive. She's got you, don't be shy. I knocked off a star because it would have been nice to see more than a charcuterie to snack on.

Yelp
We drove 20 min, and they are closed???? F that! We are off to Augustine for a good glass of wine.

Kate B.

Yelp
Sooo cute and lovely! A wonderful cosmopolitan little wine bar in the Valley with a nice selection. Great service. We will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is incredible! Super knowledgeable staff, interesting wines and great cheese! The place feels so intimate and it's always chill and a great place for a simple glass or nerd out over grape varietals. Love a natural wine bar in the valley and hope they set a precedent for more!

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. Quiet, and intimate. Joined the wine club and look forward to going back regularly!

Yelp
Had a really nice evening with friends trying out some wines. The waitress was super nice and very informative. More than willing to answer our questions and let us try some wines before we made our final choices. Nice place. Nice outdoor seating and relaxed vibe. Will be back.

Yelp
My wife and I are big wine lovers and can't get enough of this place! Reasonable prices, and the food available is good. Can't go wrong. There is a ton of street parking as well.

Yelp
We LOVE Buvette!! The team is super knowledgeable about their wines, and the menu is always diverse, fun and unique. Their cheese and charcuterie plates are to die for, we're obsessed with the fresh selections they always have (recent they had raw honey as a side and it was sooooo good). I consider ourselves lucky that we can walk to this amazing place! Plus, the decor and ambiance is beautiful. The perfect date night place, or a space to hang out with a few friends. If you haven't tried it yet, you have to go!
google avatar

Christy W.

Yelp
We walk to Buvette almost every week and it's always a fantastic experience. Our friends from every corner of the city who join us and frequent various wine bars agree that you can't beat Buvette's rotating selection of wines from around the world and the kind and knowledgeable staff. Zero pretentiousness, just great wines and people. Their wine club option is awesome - you get two bottles a month specially curated by the owner, plus discounts on all other wine and food. Check their socials for updates on special cocktail nights and other events. Please support this gem!

Yelp
Fun wine bar, perhaps a little bit expensive, but worthwhile. Cheese and charcuterie selections are nice and you can order from Tipsy Cow menu next door, too. Rebecca behind the bar is very friendly and even with her hands full, working alone, was able to handle the packed space. Glad to have yet another wine bar option in Sherman Oaks.

Allison S.

Yelp
Super cute and cozy spot. We loved the wine that was recommended to us and the cheese board was perfection. Will be coming back.

Chris L.

Yelp
We went here for Valentine's Day and had a great time. The bartender was so nice. Great wine and cheese = great date night destination!
google avatar

Amanda R.

Yelp
This is such a cute wine bar! I love coming here and tasting wines from small producers and from all over the world. Their wine Director also runs another wine bar down the street that also is a promoter of small producers called Vintage. The staff there a super friendly and passionate about wine which is very exciting for a consumer like myself who enjoys going to Wine Bar's. You really are getting the full experience when you go there and they also have a fabulous wine club that has insane deals. If you like wine and you live in Los Angeles you need to visit!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing wine, delicious cheese and charcuterie board, and fantastic service. Joined their membership because wine not :)
