LA’s New Restaurant Openings - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"There’s a new rooftop restaurant at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills that translates to “the wave” in Spanish, which is kind of fitting for a spot by the pool. The seafood-heavy menu includes shrimp aguachile, octopus chicharron, aged kanpachi, and tacos with swordfish al pastor. To drink, there are pool-friendly beverages, such as clarified strawberry daiquiris, spiked horchata, and margaritas garnished with sea asparagus. La Ola Mexican Restaurant Opens at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills | Eater LA

"Opening May 30 on the sun-drenched poolside rooftop of the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, this coastal Mexican restaurant—open for lunch and dinner—marks the return of dinner service to the Four Seasons rooftop and will be one of the only Four Seasons–operated Mexican restaurants in the U.S. Executive chef Jesus Medina, who has worked with Four Seasons since 2012, developed the menu to honor his upbringing in Mexico: he was raised mostly in the landlocked border town of Acuna, his parents' ancestry ties to Spain and the Middle East, and he remembers food being central to family gatherings, like his mother preparing a meal anytime his grandmother came to visit. The seafood influence comes from Medina’s time living in the oceanfront city of Punta Mita—he recalls the fishers coming into the harbor with freshly caught fish and patiently waiting for the one with the best wares—and he says, "That really taught me how to treat the fish." Menu highlights preserve those personal and regional influences: a shrimp aguachile and tuna tostada, various carne asada platos, and a short rib carne asada that "takes 14 hours to cook" and is served with green onions, cucumber salsa verde, black garlic, and homemade corn tortillas. Seafood-forward dishes include an aged kanpachi with jalapeno kosho and a shrimp aguachile topped with cucumber and red onion; Japanese influences appear in an octopus chicharron served with a sesame oil- and charred garlic-based aioli; Oaxacan presence is felt in a tlacoyo topped with asiento and rib-eye carpaccio. Larger mains include a dry-aged fish of the day with chayote salad and salsa verde, duck carnitas, and pollo alla brasa with mole. Lunch offers a more laidback taco program—swordfish al pastor, carne asada, and fish tempura—alongside guacamole, tuna tostada, oysters, and more. Daytime treats to cool off include seasonal paletas, ice cream, churros, and carlota de limon (a Mexican icebox cake with lime semifreddo); evening desserts include a cacao tortilla topped with a scoop of corn ice cream and puffed amaranth to resemble a taco, plus puffy buñuelos served with leche flan, yuzu, and caramel. Cocktails are available all day and include margaritas, a clarified strawberry daiquiri, spiked horchata, and a slushy welcome shot. Medina frames the restaurant as an extension of his home and hospitality: "I really want to make the connections," he says. "I believe I’m in the business of making friends and relationships with everyone who comes and dines." He hopes guests who have been to Mexico will find familiar flavors that transport them back and those who haven’t will be introduced to something new; he’s planning surprises throughout the meal, such as a sip of tepache to start and chocolates with chapulines to take home after dinner, and he wants guests to leave talking about their experience: "As you’re done dining with us, I want you to continue your evening talking about your experience," Medina says." - Rebecca Roland

La Ola at Four Seasons - A Coastal Dream Come True 🌴 La Ola is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience that blends beachside elegance with bold, coastal-inspired cuisine. Tucked into the luxurious Four Seasons setting, it feels like a hidden slice of paradise with front-row seats to the ocean. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere is effortlessly chic—think breezy linens, natural wood accents, and panoramic views of the sea. Whether you’re there for a sunset dinner or a breezy lunch, the ambiance makes everything taste better. The food? Fresh, colorful, and globally inspired. Think: ceviche with a citrusy kick, perfectly grilled seafood, bright cocktails with tropical flair, and desserts that taste like vacation. The menu feels healthy and indulgent at the same time. The service is warm and intuitive—never too much, always just right. It’s perfect for a romantic date, a stylish lunch with friends, or a treat-yourself solo escape. ✨ Final word: La Ola is where luxury meets laid-back beach vibes. A must-visit if you’re staying at the Four Seasons—or even if you’re just looking for a dreamy oceanside meal.

We had such a wonderful dinner at La Ola with our family. The setting by the rooftop pool was beautiful, and the atmosphere felt both relaxed and elegant. My husband and I were impressed by how fresh and flavorful every dish was, and our kids loved the variety too. What truly made the experience memorable was the service, our server was attentive without being overbearing, and the manager personally came by to check in on us, which made us feel genuinely welcomed and seen. It’s not always easy finding a spot that caters to both adults and kids with care, but La Ola really delivered. We’ll definitely be back!

Great plant based restaurant with exiting new dishes. Went to their last location in Venice a while back which was also fantastic. This new place is really nice and well worth a visit whether you’re on a special diet or not. Every dish tasted fantastic. Really innovativ and fresh.

Celebrated my birthday last night and was delighted to hear that this location just opened with the Venice one closing down. -Atmosphere and ambiance is superb. -Service was exceptional, David and Kevin were super attentive and had great energy. Big shoutout to them! Our Server was equally kind and generous. - Fell in love with the Butternut Cashew Fundido, had two servings before getting my entree. - For the Entree I got the Zuchini Lasagna, was also delicious but didn't realize it was raw and not baked. Regardless, it was rich in taste and very delicious. -The staff was nice enough to cut the cake we brought and sang happy birthday. Definitely recommend this restaurant to all, vegans and omnivores.

Beautiful location, outside poolside, very zen with live orange and lemon trees. Professional staff, excellent food, great prices. Our server Miguel was wonderful. You can tell he takes pride in his job, and is very passionate about it.

Hope Goes

The service is great, the atmosphere is beautiful, but the food is not the best. Ive had a few things here, considering, Im staying at the hotel, but I officially skip breakfast. It's pricey which is expected for Beverly Hills, but it should at least be delicious. The worst for me was the breadleas benedict, so underwhelming that I didnt finish it. Healthy shouldnt equal bland as hell. The acai bowl was good, but not incredible. The breakfast burrito wasnt bad. Meh, not sure I'll return.

Oh, where do I even begin with my absolutely astonishing lunchtime rendezvous at Plant Food & Wine in the illustrious Four Seasons Beverly Hills, California? Prepare to have your senses sent on an ethereal odyssey of culinary marvels! From the moment I stepped into the lush, verdant paradise that is Plant Food & Wine, I was transported to a realm where gastronomic artistry danced in harmony with the vibrant beauty of nature. The impeccable service was a symphony of elegance, each dish a crescendo of flavor that left me spellbound and utterly enchanted. The innovative fusion of plant-based ingredients transformed into masterpieces that elicited both gasps of awe and sighs of pure delight. The delicate interplay of textures and aromas in each course was akin to a meticulously orchestrated ballet, and the sheer passion of the chefs was palpable in every bite. The ambience, oh, the ambience! Sunlight streaming through the foliage, a gentle breeze carrying the faintest whispers of herbs, and a symphony of laughter and clinking glasses all came together to create an atmosphere of unparalleled enchantment. The experience was a true manifestation of culinary wizardry, a kaleidoscope of flavors and sensations that left me utterly dazzled and eternally grateful to have partaken in such an otherworldly luncheon. Plant Food & Wine is not merely a restaurant; it is an opulent voyage of the senses that forever resides in the deepest recesses of my heart and taste buds.

Yelp
Tucked poolside into the Four Seasons Los Angeles Hotel, the garden patio seating is set above the piscina below. Beautiful views of the city, while also providing a lush greenery backdrop. We stopped for lunch before checking out, and before the long trek back to LAX to depart home. Our Cabana experience definitely made the drive more enjoyable; as the drive to LAX is almost as long as the flight home given the horrendous traffic that Los Angeles is known for. Wah, wah... Our server Miguel, was sweet and conversational. Along with recommending the guacamole and salsa to start, he made sure we had the full experience of freshly made warm tortilla chips. We ordered an array of tacos, and were very satisfied. Freshly made tortillas, and vibrant flavors made our palates very happy. Great spot for a quick bite, or leisurely pool day.

Yelp
Cabana Restaurant is one of the best poolside restaurants in LA borderline Beverly Hills. Like frequenting this restaurant along with the other restaurants in this lovely Four Seasons Hotel. When I want a beautiful, meeting appropriate, private locale offering fresh, healthy and delish cuisine, and that is convenient geographically between LA, West Hollywood and Beverly Hills I come here. It's white glove service and always aim to please guests and diners. Although it's considered casual, I recommend casual expensive otherwise you'll feel like an outcast. After dining here several times, I'm guilty of writing this reviews so late, sorry not sorry, was having fun first. Usually, come here when the weather is warmer and tend to order salads, fruits and the tacos. Tacos here look and taste delish. The head chef is always willing to accommodate dietary requests and he's very nice. Service by the staff was also attentive and the outdoor patio dining was service dog friendly and depends on dog size too. Full service bar cocktails and mock tails available. The lush greenery offers ample sun shade and is a nice green haven get away. Definitely recommend. Valet parking only.

Yelp
Came on a Sunday afternoon to try their vegan Folia menu by Matthew Kenney. Great hidden gem inside the Four Seasons hotel! Nice outdoor patio and a range of vegan options. Had the Tempeh sandwich and the King Oyster Mushroom Barbacoa Tacos. Delish! Ask for their Chipotle Vegenaise!! Friendly and fast service, and the manager checked up on us too which is always appreciated (thanks!). Will come back for the other menu items soon!

Yelp
Breakfast on arrival of the hotel sharing a similar menu to Culinary in addition to a vegan menu 'folia' by Matthew Kenney. Each menu at the Four Seasons is slightly different so the Cabana has a plant based menu different to other dining options on property. The cafe latte is excellent and creamy and the avocado toast is a standout - since last trying it at Culinary I have been searching for one as good and it still remains the gold standard. Service is great - ask for Raul...

Yelp
Ridiculously expensive for sandwiches, there is nothing wrong and nothing special with the food but expect to pay $25.00 to $28.00 for a sandwich or wrap. Some of the items don't even come with a side. You would expect for these prices to get something out of this world, like a Kobe burger with truffled cheese. Lunch for three was over $100. On the bright side, the setting is pretty, rooftop by the Four Seasons pool.

Yelp
This new pool side eatery at the roof of the Four Seasons is a great spot for a healthy (and vegan if you are so inclined!) lunch. We were a group and shared several things: Fried yucca! What a nice change from french fries and what great flavor. I loved the garlic-lime aioli and beet ketchup! The peaches and tomatoes with burrata tasted like summer. So refreshing and everything was perfectly ripe. The maple wood smoked mushrooms were so flavorful! They were rich and earthly and came with an incredible sundried tomato cashew cheese dipping sauce. For mains I loved both the red bean veggie burger sliders (with a fried pickle on top!). The bun they came on was so light and I didn't miss meat for a second. The battered avocado tacos were so good too! They came with house pickled purple onions. I could eat a whole jar of these onions and a ranchero salsa. The atmosphere was delightful. And we were absolutely stuffed.

Yelp
I wrote a review of this restaurant embedded in my review of the Four Season's hotel. I really enjoyed the food, and I'll say this... I'd almost say, I'd come here just for the French Fries... but then would feel odd just ordering that, so would grab a burger (they cook it to order, and my preference is Medium Rare - which they did perfectly) Here's what I had to eat here: Real Fries - Chef Ashley's Chipotle Ketchup - These are a single serving that can be shared by two, but are delicious enough to be had by one, and so good, you almost hate to share 'em! Seared Ahi Burger - Roasted Tomatillo Salsa, Jicama, Seaweed, Slaw, Avocado, Whole Wheat Bun - I kicked off the avacado, since i'm not a fan of that on my food. JC Burger - Short Rib Patty, Maytag Blue, Tomato, Caramelized & Crispy Onions, Rosemary, Ciabatta - minus the Maytag Blue, since I don't like cheese. I had their fresh fruit as a side, and it was good. They said the fries used as a side are not the same as their "Real Fries" so please be aware of that, and you have to go for the "Real Fries" The prices are of course higher than what you can get elsewhere, but it's a culinary experience to a degree, simple food served right. The parking in the area is easy, aside from what the facilities provides, there's a lot of street parking options in the surrounding area, meters, 2 hour and 4 hour (on Burton Way) zones as well as a few unlimited / overnight (just up the block on Doheny Drive) and all walkable. Just make sure you read the signs. Everyone was nice at the restaurant, so it's an overall good if not great experience.

Yelp
The readers digest version of this is, intended to do brunch at the hotel but missed the cut-off/closing time so we did a late lunch at the cafe by the pool. Not even close to being the same and very expensive plain jane food. Only eat here if your staying here and then only if you just have to be by the pool. It's the worst option in the hotel. The rest of the Four Seasons at this location is fabulous; just this restaurant is barely ok. So an out of town girlfriend/business associate calls me to join her for brunch at the Four Seasons on Doheny on a Sunday. She's staying there while she's in town on business. She says she has to make a few calls and then we will do brunch; her treat/expense account. I love Sunday brunch at the Four Season so I say sure what time. She's not sure, it depends on how long the calls take. Don't you need a reservation time I say? No she says they will seat us whenever, (she's got pull with the place, she stays there a lot). Long story short, the calls go longer that she thought and brunch is closed out, over and done. We end up here, at this little cafe by the pool which is really just an expensive coffee shop by the pool on the fourth floor. Everything was like really expensive for what if was, (mostly in the $15-$25 range), and not very imaginative or creative or well anything but pricey. Drinks come in plastic glasses, (your at tables but the pool is close by) and the service was just so-so/on the slow side; especially by Four Seasons standards. I guess they have high prices to keep the pesants away but at least they could be a little more imaginative with the food. It was almost like they called Denny's for delivery and served it as their own. (Which would explain why it took so long to get our food).

Yelp
Loved everything about the Cabana Restaurant! From the gorgeous rooftop and palm-tree lined pool to the amazing wait staff and delicious food! I came here with a friend last month for brunch and originally had planned to eat at Culina on the main floor. After being seated at Culina, the mood was kind of dead so we ended up changing our minds and heading upstairs to Cabana...so happy we did! The patio is beautiful and sunny and there are beautiful flowers and hummingbirds surrounding the tables. My friend and I were both warmly greeted and quickly seated, despite not having a reservation. I had the Classic Eggs Benedict with asparagus which was to die for and my friend had the Spicy Pulled Chicken Quesadilla and a Bloody Mary. She was very happy with her meal as well! Our servers were funny and attentive, which really added to our experience. After our meal, we walked around the pool. Hotel patrons and restaurant guests alike took advantage of the sunny weather and comfortable pool chairs. Definitely one of my new favorite spots!

Yelp
Nice menu, the chef accommodates special diets and allergies, and the food is delicious. The service is friendly and professional. This is a lovely place to treat yourself to a feel good, taste good meal in a nice California chic setting.

Yelp
The poolside Cabana is terrible. We had lunch there last week and I was ill from the grilled salmon salad for two days. 4 days later I had to meet someone who wanted to go there for breakfast. It took 15 minutes to get a glass of ice water (there were 4 tables of people, so not crowded) then it took 35 minutes to get the Avocado Toast. It was horrible, the poached eggs were hard and tasted of vinegar and the toast was burned. Also there were pickled onions and something else thrown all over it, best of all, it arrived cold. The waiter was nowhere to be found. I love the hotel, their room service, Culina, etc. but the Cabana restaurant is a disgrace.

Yelp
Ahi tuna burger is heaven! I tried the tacos and a few other entrees and everything was Delicious!! Always enjoy eating here and the staff are really great!

Yelp
The JC Burger--- TO DIE FOR!!! Went another time and had the Original Cobb Salad. Everything amazing, yummy, and fresh! Really cool, stylish bowls they serve the salads in! Lovely outdoor dining next to the 4th Floor pool at the Four Seasons.
