Seafood dishes get a South American twist with cocktails to match at this attractive Peruvian spot.
"Multi-course menu: from £50 Flavourful modern Peruvian food meets a pink palette at Chicama in Chelsea, and their extensive dinner sharing menus are perfect for pescetarians, vegetarians, and vegans. There’s a separate menu for each which covers everything from sea bass ceviche, to BBQ plantain, to banana and yuzu ice cream with torched meringue. Given their twinkly indoor-outdoor courtyard area, this is a particularly good spot on a balmy evening." - jake missing, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak
"It’s hard to really show off your best, most loving self while simultaneously ranting about the unnecessary use of wheat in sausages. Go ahead and table that conversation for another evening and enjoy a casual dinner at Chicama. This Peruvian spot in Chelsea has a great little outdoor terrace, plenty of seafood, salads, and ceviche, but from our experience the best things here are the vegetable-heavy dishes. "Chicama is kind of like a mash-up between a great little Peruvian place and a pink velvet, marble bar spot. That means you can either come for a casual weeknight catch-up and sit out on the patio or in the rustic front dining area, or get a little bit suave at the bar with a couple of pisco cocktails. The seafood is alright, but what you really want to get involved in are the vegetable dishes. " - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
"Chicama is a Peruvian spot in Chelsea with large bi-fold doors that swing open onto a foliage-packed terrace, decorated with fairy lights and hanging plants. Come for a casual weeknight catch-up and sit out on the patio or in the rustic front dining area. Either way, you’re getting that light summer breeze that rolls through. Or get a little bit suave at the velvet/marble bar with a couple of pisco cocktails. The seafood here is alright but you really want to get involved in their vegetable dishes—ideal for cooling, crunchy snacking. " - jake missing, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak
