"Chichería Mexican Kitchen offers happy hour daily, from 3 to 6 p.m., at the bar and outdoor patio. Look for $1 chips and salsa, $5 Baja fries, $1 wings, and half-price oysters. The bar also offers $5 sangria, local beers, and ranch water." - Eater Staff
"The Works’ fast-growing complex can feel like a giant adult playground, with a brewery, cocktail bar, and a number of food options. But even on a blistering cold Atlanta day, the best seat in the house is on Chicheria’s heated patio. Clear tarp enclosures keep in the warmth while also granting you views to all the people-watching—including the comings and goings at the axe throwing studio if you wanted to play a drinking game on who’s most likely to win, lose, or lose a finger. And though Chicheria doesn’t make the best taco on the Upper Westside, their housemade blue corn tortillas and impressive number of options help to inch them above a few other area spots." - juli horsford, jacinta howard, nina reeder
"For Baja-style tacos, check out Chicheria Mexican Kitchen at the Works in Westside. Blue corn tortillas are made fresh daily here, and chef Juan Hormiga has made every recipe gluten-free on the menu. The street tacos are $5.50 a pop and include chicken tinga, fried cauliflower, and carnitas, all topped with cilantro and onions. The “gourmet tacos” include the Baja fish tacos (a must-order) with mahi mahi, shaved cabbage, chipotle crema, and pico de gallo for $17 for two. For a larger plate, be sure to order the red snapper sikil pak that’s served in an earthy pumpkin seed sauce — it made Eater Atlanta’s Best Dishes roundup in April. Wash it all down with margs and Mexican wine. —Henna Bakshi" - Eater Staff
"Starting in January 2025, the new executive chef Juan Hormiga at Chicheria Mexican Kitchen at Chattahoochee Food Works has made the entire menu gluten-free. Expect anything from aguachile, red snapper in coconut leche de tigre, and even an in-house ice cream program with Mexican flavors for dinner. Brunch, lunch, and happy hour are also available." - Eater Staff
