"If you’re looking for a no-frills lunch spot in the Wollaston area in Quincy, Chili Square has the chewiest and freshest Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles New England has to offer. The piping hot noodles are made-to-order, meaning it’s best to eat in as opposed to getting takeout. An absolute standout from its noodle menu are the cumin lamb biang biang noodles, which are bouncy and flavorful. If you’re in the mood for a noodle soup, Lanzhou beef brisket noodle soup won’t disappoint. Side dishes such as the spicy sliced pig ear in chili sauce or the duck necks are both great to go with the carbs." - Nathan Tavares, Valerie Li Stack, Eater Staff

"Marc Hurwitz visits Chili Square in Quincy for his latest in the Dig and finds some dishes that are “not for the faint of heart.” The restaurant serves Chinese dishes, and some, like the spicy duck heads and pig’s ears in chili oil, may be a little intimidating to those more used to Chinese-American cuisine. “There are definitely a number of options here for the less daring, however,” Hurwitz writes, including the biang biang noodles, which are hand-pulled, wide, and flat at Chili Square, served in soup or alone, with accompanying meats or non-meat options. The spicy oil in the dish has a kick that will “sneak up on you as you continue to eat it.” Other offerings include a Lanzhou beef noodle soup and a Wuhan hot dry noodle dish that also packs a punch thanks to sesame paste and chili oil. Another highlight is the crispy Korean chicken wings, Hurwitz writes, along with scallion pancakes. The restaurant is cash-only." - Dana Hatic

Craving noodles in Quincy, MA, I checked the reviews for Chili Square—this place looked promising! However, it seems more like a takeout spot. The cashier didn’t say much, and while we ordered for dine-in, everything was self-service. The food was decent, but overall, I’d give it a 3 out of 5.

The place is small and it takes only cash payment. There are plenty of street parking spaces. We ordered the sweet and sour cold cucumber. We also got Cumin Lamb Biang Noodle Soup and Lanzhou beef brisket noodle soup. Both broth are flavorful. The beef brisket is tender. My wife asked to have the chili oil on the side, but when it came out, the chili oil wasn't on a separate bowl. That was fine. The Cumin Lamb for the Bian Biang was tender, but also, it didn't have the smell. I am pretty sure it was cooked for a long time. The hand stretch noodle cooked perfectly. The portions sized are big. The cold cucumber seasoned well. Not too sweet or sour or spicy. I would have given them 4.5 stars, but I found a piece of sticker in the soup. The price for the meal was reasonable. The food came out fast. I would definitely come back again.

I had dinner here on 12 Aug 24. It is a hole in the wall mom and pop joint. Cash only. That means disposal cutlery and plates for sharing. Be prepared for a tight squeeze as there are only 5 tables in this place. That being said, the food is very good and mostly spicy. I loved the biang biang noodles which are basically thick wheat hand made noodles. Very chewy and soft. The sauce was just the right heat level. We also had the fish fillet with preserved vegetables which was huge and enough for 4 to share. Would definitely recommend this place for a very authentic experience and taste of spicy Chinese food.

I've been meaning to go to Chili Square for a while, and finally made it on my last trip to Quincy. The restaurant is small (maybe 5 tables), and most everything is self service in front of the counter (including water, styrofoam side bowls, utensils, napkins). Cash only. Overall I enjoyed some of the things I had here, but probably wouldn't come back. The beef noodle soup had nice flavor, The biangbiang noodles were good but not my favorite, and the chicken (bone, skin on) was quite tender with good flavor. The spicy fish fillet was huge and had a good amount of fish, but one of the fillets seemed a bit undercooked... Cucumbers cooked in the spicy broth was also an interesting choice. The chongqing chicken was coated in chili powder, which I didn't enjoy so much, and didn't have much savory flavor. Overall I had a pleasant experience here, but there's nothing here that I wouldn't rather get at a different restaurant.

Google
Most enjoyable noodles down to the last bite! FYI, this is a very small place with limited seating it's definitely worth the wait if you stop by during a rush. Next time we're in the area, I'll be going back for the Cumin Lamb Biang Biang Noodle!

Google
The noodle soups we chose were pretty good. This place cash only, has no bathroom, and water is self serve. There were no greetings from the waitress. I don’t recall seeing seeing a smile the entire time. You go there just for the food. Luckily, it doesn’t disappoint. That sort of ruins the experience.

Chili Square is a small restaurant located on Hancock Street, the hub of Asian food in Quincy. There is plenty of street parking. Not a lot of tables inside, so I wouldn't recommend this place for large groups. Cash only. I ordered two items for take-out, which took 10 minutes to prepare on an empty morning. No issues with service. - Spicy Cumin Lamb Burger ($6.95): Decent amount of lamb for an appetizer. The lamb was aromatic but dry and not that spicy. The dough was also dry but held up well. I wouldn't get this again. - Spicy Chicken Biang Biang Noodles ($12.95): Filling for the price but more noodles than chicken and only two pieces of vegetables, so the ratios could be better. This dish was also not that spicy. However, the chicken was flavorful and not dry like the lamb. The noodles were chewy and al dente but a bit too oily. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but if you're in the area and looking for a cheaper, decently filling lunch, this place is an okay choice.

Google
Staff is always very friendly. It’s cash only so just be aware. There is BofA atm across the street so no worries. We come here at least once a month if not more. One of my favorites. Their cold chili chicken is the best I can find. And I always get the chili fish. So good. It’s a bit inconsistent in the vegetable and soup density but flavor is always so good. Plenty of fish for two. Although I usually eat it all myself. 😂. They have lots to choose from and usually everything is good. It’s a small little “hole in the wall” neighborhood place but don’t let it fool you. Enjoy!

Yelp
Chili Square is a really small restaurant but they have some of the best Chinese food in Boston. The food is spicy and oily and tastes really authentic! This is definitely going in my bookmarks as one of those hole in the wall spots.

Yelp
The food is amazing here and so authentic. The place is small and cozy, our server is an older Asian lady and super sweet. We ordered the beef noodles, lamb hand pulled noodles, cold cut chicken. The beef noodle soup is so flavorful and one of the best I've ever had. It is slightly spicy as it contains chili oil but their chili tastes so good. The topping portion is less than I like, with some slices of beef and cilantro. I usually like extra veggies but it's alright because the soup makes up for it. Lamb Hand Pulled Noodles are Biang Biang noodles mixed in this chili oil sauce that is slightly vinegary but so yummy with pieces of lamb on top. Our favorite is the Cold Cut Chicken. SOOOO yummy. Nice texture, juicy, and packed with flavor. The chili crisps on top are so delicious and the chicken is nicely seasoned, big portions. The interior is small and cozy. You do have to get your own water but it's okay because it's a short walk. The service is good too and I always have a good time there. Do go if you want some authentic Chinese food, most dishes contain chili so if you don't like that, go at your own discretion.

Shelley Y.

Yelp
Cash only in store or you can order online for marked up prices. Small interior with few tables. Note: The guy running the front may ignore you when you walk in so just walk up to him or seat yourself if there's a table available The food itself is solid. I recommend the lamb biang biang noodles and the chongqing chicken

Yelp
Chili Square always hits when you want some good Biang Biang Noodles and Sizchuan dishes. Ugh, I was craving this kind of food all day and Chili square HIT THE SPOT. Favorite dish: Cumin Lamb Biang Biang Noodles Ugh and with vinegar on top of the noodles SO GOOD and UMAMI Food was served very fast and it's easy to get water and bowls in your own. Love how efficient and cozy the place is. The server is also very sweet (:

John H.

Yelp
Chili Square needs to be updated to 5 stars. Their hand pulled chewy noodles are addicting and the best you can find in the area. The spice level is perfect and flavors are big. We also tried the beef noodle soup this time and it was delicious. The broth was so flavorful and had that 5 spice taste that kept you going back for more. The noodles in the soup were also top notch. Our kid had 3 servings because he just couldn't get enough. Don't be nervous about ordering from here if you aren't Chinese. I called in an order in English without any issues. Cash only though.

Rovingaile P.

Yelp
4.2/5! This is definitely my favorite biang biang noodle dish, including restaurants I've tried in Chinatown from New York and Chicago. The chili oil packs so much flavor, and I appreciate the cabbage too. I would prefer the chicken to be white over dark meat, but that's okay. Overall my go-to dish the three times that I've been here. We also decided to try the spicy cumin lamb burger during one of our visits. 3/5 as it was pretty dry, and the flavor was lacking for me. Lastly, we tried the cold skin noodles. It was a lighter and more refreshing option! I really enjoyed the cucumbers, sprouts, and the fried bean curd (?) paired with the chili vinegar-like sauce. Would get this again in the future spring/summer days!

Casey A.

Yelp
I love this place. Truly one of those tiny hole in the wall places. The noodles are perfectly chewy. I got the spicy lamb noodles - flavorful, oily , delicious. It's also so affordable but it's also cash only. Definitely always try to stop by here when in Quincy.

Yelp
Chili Square has yummy hand pulled noodles!! My favorites to get include: Lanzhou Beef brisket noodle soup, Chongqing chicken with chili peppers (10/10 recommend), and the cumin lamb biang biang noodle. The Chongqing chicken is AMAZING! Perfect amount of spice (it is kind of spicy if you don't normally eat spicy) and the chicken is juicy. The cumin lamb biang biang noodles are my go-to when I don't want noodle soup. Everything about it, from the lamb to the hand pulled noodles... SO GOOD! Chili Square is cash only though so be prepared with cash! There is a Bank of America ATM located across the street. & I believe if you order for take out via Ubereats, etc, you can use ApplePay or card to pay.

Chris T.

Yelp
Stopped in, haven't been since grand opening but it seems they have changed the space a bit with new colors on the wall etc. Pricing is par for the course these days most items being 18.95+ We were just in the area and wanted the chicken dish. It had heavy cumin seasoning flavor and peppers fried to perfection. The chicken was moist and tender, comes right off the bones. They basically look like chicken wings cut into 3. To make chicken cubes. Very small space with few tables though so you can definitely eat on 4 tops for dine in. Elder lady took our order and it took about 10 minutes on a Sunday night, i believe open until 9:30pm

Yelp
Very small place but good food Street parking. Have to come early for a decent seat because the spot is so small. Within an hour, the place was filled up with people and more people were waiting outside since there was no waiting place inside. Got the beef brisket noodle soup, which was delicious. Good amount of spice. Flavorful. Noodles were good. Brisket is acceptable but a bit chewy. Good for a cold rainy day. We also got chicken wings and lamb kebobs. I'd order the wings again but not the kebobs. Wings are nicely coated with sauce on the crispy outer and meat falls off bone. I'd come back again. Wish this spot was bigger. Also, cash only, which is a shame.

Steph W.

Yelp
Very small spot, great noodles. Staff was polite and kind. Hand pulled spicy noodles were not very spicy, but the chongqing chicken is! Both very good. We also had an order of scallion pancakes and they were made perfectly. I wish it came with a soy dipping sauce. There is a self serve water dispenser but I did not notice any other beverage options unless it was out back and not listed on the menu.

Yelp
Can someone please explain to me why this place accepts "cash only" despite the fact that it obviously is capable of doing online ordering and delivery, for example, at least through the modern system's ChowBus? I can't think of any reason other than tax fraud or at least an attempt thereof... We did ask them whether they would consider taking Venmo or other form of money transfer, but it insisted we walk through the rain to find an ATM to get cash. This took off one star. I came here after experiencing a delicious LanZhou Beef Noodle bowl at a highly rated restaurant in Montreal (see my other review). I gave this Chili place a try hoping for the same experience, but was very disappointed. See pictures. Food was inside, tasteless and bland. The lamb kebab was kind of okay actually. But I'm never coming back here again.

Rebecca X.

Yelp
Reaaally good spot for noodles and other Chinese dishes. Just a few things up front: they are cash only (there's a Bank of America ATM across the intersection in case you don't have cash) and the restaurant itself is very small and no frills. You go in and order with the hostess/waitress at the back. You'll seat yourself and your food will be brought to you. There's self-serve water at the back as well. This is a very Chinese place in that I think all the patrons and the hostess primarily spoke Chinese, but by no means is it required. The widespread Chinese only confirms its authenticity. We came in on a weekend afternoon and there was enough seating for the two of us, but I can see how it could get really busy during rush hours. I'd recommend coming at an off hour or ordering delivery/takeout for the best experience. Now on to the food! We got a spicy lamb biang biang noodle, Lanzhou beef noodle soup, spicy fried fish, and scallion pancakes. All the dishes were A+. Literally the best Chinese noodles I've had in the greater Boston area. The spicy dishes are solidly spicy so beware. But overall I'll definitely be back!

Claire W.

Yelp
Authentic Chinese noodle place! Loved the cold noodle and beef noodle soup we ordered, the side dish shredded potato was delicious- savory, sour and spicy! Very decent price $11-12 for most dishes unbeatable in time of high inflation. There are only a few tables so expect to wait during peak hours. Taking one star for using disposal utensil (and came acrossed some of them are not the cleanest).

Eri L.

Yelp
The cumin lamb biang biang noodles are fantastic! The noodles have great chew, the lamb is very tender, and at the price point ($12.99 plus tax/tip) couldn't ask for more. The dish is mildly spicy. There are a few tables inside, but would come with a smaller group because it'll be trickier to fit a group larger than 4. It is also cash only. Service was quick and food came out fast.

DeeShawn R.

Yelp
Small place, maybe 5-6 tables. They get pretty packed since people come in and out often even with take out. Cash only as well Been a few times and they're a little inconsistent but when it's good, it's good. Service is quick and their noodle soups are pretty good portioned. The lamb cumin noodles, I wish there was more protein. Overall prices are fairly decent. No frills, in and out place

Izzy T.

Yelp
Solid noodle joint. Relatively smaller menu but everything they do is great. Lanzhou noodles are chewy and springy, and the broth perfectly light. The beef itself was very tender. Also got the lamb burger which was very very good, perfect for an appetizer. Scallion pancakes were fine, I prefer mine with a bit more scallion and salt but they were very fresh. We also got the chicken biang biang noodles which were excellent, just know the chicken has bone in it, it's not boneless or filet, which doesn't take away from the dish's flavor at all. Everything is a perfect level of spice - my fiancé said the biang biang noodles were not too spicy, you just may need water and that's it, but the flavor is still enjoyable and complex. Overall, it is a very authentic place. The space is small as people said in other reviews, but the tables turn over fast because the food comes out SUPER fast. Like within 5 min fast. The lady working the register was also very sweet and friendly. Would recommend if you're in the area!

Philip K.

Yelp
This place is great. I've never had bad food here. I've liked every noodle and noodle soup they offer here. The proteins (beef, lamb, pork gyoza) are always done well too. It's cash only but there's a Bank of America ATM a block away.

Rocky W.

Yelp
This is a small Taiwanese restaurant located in the heart of Quincy. It's cozy inside since there's only 5-6 small tables available for seating. They are known here for their delicious Lanzhou and Biang Biang noodles. For less than $12, their entrees are a deal! I recommend the Cumin Lamb Biang Biang Noodle Soup and the Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup which had lots of flavor and came with a generous portion. The biggest cons are that they're cash only, there is no public restroom, and it can feel small and cramped inside with the tables being very close to each other.

Kevino C.

Yelp
Nice and accommodating staff. Small but charming place for traditional (spicy) Chinese food. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. You can get a tasty meal here for $10-12. I got the cumin lamb biang biang noodles. It was flavorful and packed a lot of heat. The lamb was well cooked and the veggies added a nice crunch to the bouncy, chewy noodles. Overall, a great experience and would absolutely come back. Highly recommend!

Jason L.

Yelp
What a cool spot! I wanted noodle soup and stopped by this spot. The inside is not very big and we came on a Monday Night - there were people here but we got seated right away. Keep in mind that this place is cash only - but there is a Bank of America ATM right around the corner. I got the lanzhou beef noodle soup and swapped the noodles for hand pulled. The noodles were amazing consistency and the beef was tender. I opt'd for no spice and added it on the side. Soup is fairly clean and tasty! I would come back again.

Damao L.

Yelp
Food is okay. Service is okay. Cash only. Before pandemic I went there only for noodles, the biang biang noodles had pretty good texture. Last month ordered some beef dish, they were not fresh and taste funny. Not gonna visit again. Also when I was paying for it, the price on the menu was $17, cashier told me it cost $18 with tax, I did see the $18 price on the wall, so I didn't question anything, then she only gave me the 0.46 cents changes. I have to ask isn't the food $18? Then she gave me the one dollar back. It was takeout, I didn't want to give any tips. The whole miscalculation thing feels funny and I can't trust this place anymore.

ells w.

Yelp
Like eating in a closet...eating well! Would have walked 'on by' without a friend pointing it out. It's here! Walk in-you're there. Facing the hostess or owner 8 feet in front of you gesturing to take a seat...one of 16. Small. Ordering simple...pictures say more than a thousand words in which language no less? Food...exceptional taste and portion for the price, Service...spot on, considering they can only fit 3-5 staff in the place. Ambiance...consider what you're paying and how-only cash my friend, only cash.

Victoria T.

Yelp
the BEST noodles! I wish there was a Chili Square in Boston. Quincy is a little far but it was worth it to eat these noodles. I got the cold skin noodles, the pig ears in chili sauce, and the cumin lamb biang biang noodles. The cold skin noodles were really good, and the pig ears were the best I've had in the Boston area. Super spicy. The lamb in the biang biang noodles was great but the noodles texture was too soft and not chewy enough for biang biang noodles. But the flavor was great. Would def come back here again. It was pretty busy when I came for dinner on a saturday, the restaurant itself is super small, and cash only.

Yiping L.

Yelp
WHAT A GEM!!! Huge portion size and so flavorful. So authentic and service was quick. The place was small but turnover was fairly quick so there was no line even though the place was full the entire time. The food tasted fresh and clean. Definitely will be revising for many times in the future.

Susan L.

Yelp
Worth a repeat visit. The good: The hand pulled noodle dishes are very tasty. It has just the right amount of spice so you can enjoy it without burning your tongue. The bad: The restaurant is small with a few tables so usually there is a wait for a table. Luckily once seated the wait for food isn't too long. Recommended dishes: Spicy Chicken Biang Biang Noodle

Maria G.

Yelp
Wow! Simply amazing! I was in the area and thought I'd give it a try. We tried the chicken wings, cold skin noodle, and lamb noodle. They are all so so good!! I'd give it about 4.5 stars, because with two entrees and one appetizer came out to be about $45. And frankly, I was still a little hungry after. While I agree with most people who give this place one-star that the portion size is small, I do have to say that the quality is amazing. I don't like the association that that Chinese food must be cheap, but I do think they could be a little more generous with the portion size. I can't wait to return!

Diane H.

Yelp
Chili square is usually a treat for me because you gotta save up all your cash in order to get anything from there. I've been here a few times in the past few years and it's always been decent.... And then today I found a bug in my beef noodle soup . So while I enjoyed it, finding a bug in the end kinda turned me off. Besides that, here's the breakdown for the food: Korean wings $13- pic on wall is pretty deceptive, showed about 10? We got 7 pieces but it was very good. Lamb noodles in the spicy oil (biang biang) $11: good! Spicy!! The lamb wasn't gamey which is nice. Beef noodle soup $12: good until I found the bug at the end Wonton beef brisket noodle soup $12 : good, only came with about 3 wontons I think but it was a beef wonton. Tea egg $1.50 per egg: tbd Rice wrapped in lotus leaf $4.95 each: tbd Would I go back? It might be a few years since I'm so traumatized. Also if you are suppose to get some change back, forget it. They don't give you coin change. I was going to say "keep it" but she decided it for herself already.

Sandy T.

Yelp
The cumin lamb biang biang noodles alone are worth visiting Chili Square for. I've ordered from here multiple times and it's the only item I ever get. In my humble opinion, it's waaaay better than the other cumin lamb noodle places in Boston. The noodles were thick and cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of chewiness. The cumin-spiced lamb was tender and flavorful, and the combination of spices and sauces is on point. The pricing here is also super duper reasonable/cheap. Maybe one day I will order something else from their menu but for now their cumin lamb noodles continue to be my go to!

Erica Z.

Yelp
CASH ONLY - no check, venmo, cards etc Really good food, I've been here a couple times over the years and they've always been very consistent.

Steven W.

Yelp
Very small restaurant and tight. Service is quick and the noodle selections are extensive but get ready to ask for water because it is spicy but delicious and great value for your meal.

Alyanna T.

Yelp
Been meaning to try this place close by in Quincy and finally did this Saturday afternoon! My partner and I ordered lanzhou beef brisket noodle soup, cumin lamb biang biang noodle soup, a side of spicy cumin lamb burger, and a boiled egg w tea and soy sauce in each of our soups - TASTE: 4/5 - the beef brisket was fatty and flavorful, and both soups were at a comfortable spice level (I was honestly expecting it to be spicier haha). We both enjoyed the soy sauce taste in our boiled eggs TEXTURE: 4/5 - my biang biang noodles were satisfyingly thick and chewy! PRICE: 4/5 - not bad at all for big bowls of soup SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - just the right serving size for lunch, though I wish the portions of beef brisket and lamb in each soup were more generous SERVICE: 4/5 - food was ready within five minutes ATMOSPHERE: 3/5 - it's definitely tight inside with less than ten tables, so be prepared to hear your neighbors' conversations and dress light especially when eating hot, spicy soup! PARKING: 4/5 - lots of free street parking around the area, but might need to circle around once or twice to snag a spot

Dannie W.

Yelp
The food portion here is pretty good. I got the Cumin Lamb Biang Biang Noodle and it's very good. But I think the Lanzhou beef brisket noodle soup is better. The lamb kebab is ok though. I bit on the fatty side. Wouldn't order it next time. But will come back for the other dishes.

Tin P.

Yelp
Very small shop with no restroom! However the food is delicious if you're looking for some spicy hand pulled noodles. Their popular dishes are the cumin lamb dry noodles and chicken bang bang noodle soup. Packed with flavors. Cash only restaurant!

Mia L.

Yelp
I love dining at this place! Despite its small size, the food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Every time I visit, I feel an irresistible urge to come back again. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience!

Judie K.

Yelp
Since fresh noodle in allston closed down due to the fire, my husband and I have been on a hunt for good noodle spots similarly. We love Home Taste in Watertown and we love Chili Square here in Quincy. Their scallion pancakes are amazingly crunchy which we love. My husband enjoyed the flavors of this Liuzhou River Snail Rice Noodle Soup -- a bit spicy and a tad tangy (in a good way)! It was his first time having the snail rice noodle soup. :) I enjoyed the spicy oil biang biang noodles but I would say I like other place's spicy oil noodles more, but I would definitely come back to Chili Square to get their scallion pancakes again and to try other noodle dishes here. Service was quick. Please note it is cash only here.

Howie H.

Yelp
stoped in last weekend for a sunday dinner. we ordered pig ears, mala pot, and spicy fish filet. it was the first time we had the mala pot at chili square. the size of the dish for the price is a serious joke. it was less ingredients and contents of the pig ear dish. the spicy fish filet in broth was mostly broth. we noticed a steep drop in the serving size of the dishes while keeping their prices the same.

Tiff L.

Yelp
Cash only and tight spaces but so worth it. Chili Square is a very small shop with about 5 tables and no bathrooms but do not let that deter you away! The food is definitely something that makes your visit worth it. Mostly everything on this menu is spicy so be warned! We ordered the cold skin noodle and cumin lamb biang biang noodle with two tea eggs. I couldn't stop eating the cold skin noodle - the spicy flavors were very addicting. The hand pulled noodles from the cumin lamb noodle dish was perfectly chewy.

Lina L.

Yelp
Chili Square has very limited seating, but the lady who works there is sweet and tries her best to serve every customer that comes in. My friends and I came in for lunch on Saturday around 1pm and had to wait about 15 minutes for a table of three, which was not too bad. After being seated, we ordered the Cumin Lamb Biang Biang Noodle, Cold Skin Noodles, and Sliced Pig Ear in Chili Sauce. The cumin lamb biang biang noodle was amazing. The flavoring and texture of the lamb were perfect and paired really well with the noodles. The cold skin noodles were also really good and addicting. It was refreshing to eat, and the sauce that pairs with it is phenomenal. The sliced pig ear in chili sauce was alright but paled in comparison to the other two dishes. I would definitely come back here for their noodles. The noodles are both amazing, and I would love to try their other dishes. The prices are also not too bad considering the portion and quality you are getting.

Miriam R.

Yelp
Lamb noodle Lamb noodle Lamb noodle Lamb noodle Bit spicy , but greasy, all yummmmmmmmmm

Justin L.

Yelp
Must try their Biang Biang noodle in a soup! I thought the flavors were wonderful and deserves a 10/10. You can ask for less spicy which is what I did if you can't handle the mala flavors in your mouth. Definitely coming back soon.

Anh N.

Yelp
The best quick dinner spot. Our fav was the spicy chicken biang biang noodles, the noodles were so chewy and the spiciness level was just right. We usually get the dry one but the soup version is also very good. The restaurant is small so you might have to wait in line. They only take cash so make sure you carry cash with you.

Jean H.

Yelp
Now our favorite authentic noodle spot in the Boston area! We've become a regular whenever we're in Quincy. Lanzhou beef noodle soup is a trademark dish from my husband's hometown. He said it tastes exactly like what he used to have at home. I'd recommend the Lanzhou beef noodle soup, cumin lamb biang biang noodles (not in soup), and cold skin noodle (my favorite). Very authentic and tasty chili oil accompany a lot of their dishes. The restaurant has a wall of their menu with accurate photos of each dish if you're stuck on what to order. Definitely a good amount of food per serving, though will only last one meal. I'd definitely recommend if you're a fan of authentic Chinese food.

Yelp
Delicious broth. Amazing noodles. Would definitely be down to try everything on the menu. Loved the wontons in the beef brisket noodle soup but there was a bit too much cartilage vs meat for me.

Yelp
Chili Square is a small authentic, mostly Chinese cuisine spot located right on Hancock Street in Quincy. There's enough space to dine inside but I opted for takeout. Street parking is tough during prime lunch and dinner time due to the cluster of businesses around this area. Try to go earlier in the day. Korean Chicken Wings- Yeah, they missed the mark with these wings. I opened these when I got to my car just to grab a bite when it's fresh. These wings texture felt like they were steamed, perhaps lightly tossed on the pan with a little bit of sauce. It barely tasted like it was seasoned. And the pieces were teeny-tiny! Sliced Pig Ears in Chili Sauce- At least this one was flavorful. Crunchy because of the cartilage with some chewiness, the flavor was coated in spicy and numbing chili oil. The portion was a family-style serving. Overall Service: Not pleasant but it's kind of expected with these types of spots when they cater more to their patrons.

Yelp
Delicious noodles! Been looking for a good hand pulled noodle place for Biang Biang noodles near Boston. Its a pretty small restaurant inside so seating is limited and theres only street parking. We got Spicy Oil Biang Biang Noodles and the Lanzhou Beef Brisket Noodle Soup and both were amazing. Will def be coming back for more!

Yelp
This was my 2nd time coming here and I love it!! As always, finding a good hand pulled noodle is majestic. I LOVE them and the Cumin Lamb noodles are outta this world. Highly recommend! Bring cash because this place is cash only. Inside there are a few tables but it's very small. I've only every gotten take out but I'm sure it even better freshly made there. You do need to eat these pretty much right away otherwise the noodles will completely stick to eachother and you'll never get them apart. The noodles are chewy and the lamb is tender & packed with flavor. I get extra chili to put ontop to make it spicier
