Chuí - Review - Chacarita - Buenos Aires - The Infatuation

"Chuí is a vegetarian spot where even the most devoted carnivores keep returning. This open-air space under the train tracks in Chacarita is a jungle of plants, twinkling lights, and tables tucked between gigantic leaves. The menu changes seasonally, but you can expect to eat things like mushroom pâté, heirloom tomatoes, and blistered wood-fired pizzas paired with spritzy cocktails. It’s ideal for a date or a low-key meal when you’ve hit your beef limit. Whatever else you order, don’t skip the dark caramel butterscotch pudding." - Annie Bacher

"The four young owners of this vegetarian/vegan restaurant have taken full advantage of the potential of this empty piece of land next to the railway tracks. It occupies a huge semi-open industrial-style warehouse alongside a rustic garden that transforms the setting into an oasis in the heart of the city. If you look closely you’ll notice four main features: a cabinet for growing mushrooms, another to store preserves and pickles, plus a clay oven and a pizza oven in the huge open kitchen. Wild mushrooms pay a starring role on the menu in delicious dishes such as the oyster mushroom milanesa and the mushroom pâté. Chuí also usually offers four types of pizza – the female chef here is an expert at adding an extra fermented element or escabeche to give them an extra-special touch. The colourful desserts include a delicious cheesecake brûlée." - Michelin Inspector

The 38 Best Restaurants in Buenos Aires, Argentina | Eater

"Once upon a time it was nearly impossible for vegetarians to eat well in BA. Luckily, things have changed. Chuí doesn’t use the vegetarian label, but the wood-fired cooking is free of meat. The entire ultra-fashionable space is located in a garden oasis, where a large open-air kitchen is surrounded by a jungle of plants and trees. Before or after your meal, check out the glass chambers where the team cultivates mushrooms." - Allie Lazar

The place is amazing to have dinner, very cozy and beautiful at night. The food is extremely delicious, menu is very unique, workers are friendly. It was cold outside and we asked to move us inside even though we didn’t have reservation they helped us, we appreciate it! We will definitely come back!

We were so well recommended about this restaurant that we couldn't miss it during our stay in Buenos Aires. And sure enough, the restaurant is impeccable. The starters are wonderful, as are the main courses. I just want to highlight the roasted broccoli starter: it stole our hearts!

Truly delicious and creative food but the service was awful. It seemed as if the staff were being held against their will. I did not see a single server smile or look like they were enjoying their job during my hour long stay. The host completely ignored me when I asked about the location of the bathroom and walked by as if I was invisible. It was quite bizarre… But the food is delicious and innovative!

I'm absolutely obsessed with Chuí in Buenos Aires! This enchanting vegetarian restaurant is nestled in a lush garden, creating a serene ambiance that's perfect for a relaxing dining experience. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by the aroma of freshly baked bread and the sound of sizzling pizzas in the open kitchen. The pizzas are a highlight, with standout options like the Stracciatella cheese pizza that's simply divine. The breads are also freshly baked and pair perfectly with the flavorful dips. What impresses me most is the commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients that elevate every dish. The wine selection is impressive, with a good variety of options to complement your meal. Given that the menu is entirely vegetarian, it's remarkable how creative and satisfying the dishes are. From the charred avocado to the smoked watermelon, every bite is a delight. Some minor quibbles with service aside, Chuí is a true culinary gem that I highly recommend. Whether you're a vegetarian or just looking for a unique dining experience, this restaurant is sure to impress. Don't miss out on the lions mane mushrooms with twice-cooked sweet potatoes – it's a game-changer!

This restaurant is so far the best in the amazing food scene of Buenos Aires. As a vegan it was hard to choose, we had the peanut soup with fochasa 👌🏻 but the lion's mane was from another world, if you think you can't live without meat order this 🤤 We will 💯 come back.

By far this was the best food we had in our 3 weeks in Buenos Aires. Finally some seasoning! Most of the food we tried around town was so bland, but not at Chui. Everything was flavorful and thoughtful. The atmosphere is casual but cool, and all of the staff were lovely. I will return next time I’m in Buenos Aires and also plan to visit the Mexico City location.

When Uber dropped us off we weren't sure we were in the right place. Check out entrance photos. Creative Vegetarian cuisine. Only issue was our table was too dark to clearly see our food. Used cellphone flashlight.
