First off, these are not good bagels. Anyone claiming otherwise is probably not from New York or hasn’t tasted real bagels. While the inside is somewhat chewy, the crust is overly hard and tough, it feels electric and rubbery, making you pull and chew so much it actually tires your jaw. Not pleasant at all.
What’s worse is the pricing and policies. They automatically tack on an 18% gratuity, even though there is no table service whatsoever. On top of that, they add a $0.25 “funding fee” for their pickle program, which supposedly allows people claiming “financial hardship” to randomly ask for 33% or 50% off their bill. It feels like a gimmick and not good business practice.
Yes, the atmosphere, music, and design are nice, but that does not make up for overpriced, low-quality food and forced extra charges. Overall, this is not a good experience and not a place I’d recommend.
