Straightforward pizza counter at Gotham West Market offering classic slices & Italian sandwiches.
"Once considered one of the city’s best new slices, Corner Slice, which opened in 2017 at Gotham West Market, is calling it quits in the city, confirms owner Mike Bergemann." - Melissa McCart
"Frankly, you’re not going to have a life-changing meal at Gotham West Market, a food hall on 11th Ave. But a Sicilian pie from Corner Slice is the closest you’ll get. The slices here are crispy on the bottom and fluffy in the middle. They do delivery, but if your only option is to eat pizza inside of the market, the cafeteria-style seating will at least make you feel young again." - Bryan Kim, Willa Moore, Neha Talreja, Hannah Albertine
"Michael Bergemann’s all-day bakery remains one of New York’s finest pizzerias, putting out naturally leavened slices forged from a blend of spelt and durum wheat. It’s not the type of setup that would necessarily lead one to order a Buffalo slice ($6.50), but indeed it might be the greatest version of that famous lowbrow pizza. Creamy ranch sauce and stretchy mozz soften the vinegar tang of saucy, spicy chicken, while a light crust keeps everything nimble and crunchy. Also try the classic margherita ($5.75), which uses a fragrant (and nut-free) basil pesto instead of wilted leaves. Those dining in can order any two slices and a drink for $13 after tax." - Ryan Sutton
"Okay, so it’s not a coffee shop, but sometimes the day calls for both a cup of coffee and an afternoon slice of pizza to get through work. Corner Slice in the Gotham West Market food hall offers both: Its signature square pies are available by the slice and diners can also get a cup of hot or iced coffee to go alongside. The market has a covered outdoor seating area available with Wi-Fi access." - Erika Adams, Eater Staff
"Loading a slice, half-pie, or full pie from Corner Slice with toppings is like adding strobe lights and smoke machines to a performance by the Philharmonic. The crunchy, airy crust is good enough to shine on its own, so we recommend keeping it simple with plain cheese and plain white pies from this Hell’s Kitchen slice spot." - Team Infatuation
